I found fleas? (i'm not sure if it's called fleas.. it's small and sneaky!) anyway i found a lot of those in their(my guinea pig) hair. So I gave them a bath. But after giving them a bath there are still many fleas left. I guess I didn't know how to. therefore my question is can i bath them again? if yes, how? Or should I just buy flea powder? if ever, is it safe? please help me... i love Asti and Jigger so much these parasites might cause them illness.... :(

The horse injured his tendon sheath 4 months ago and his leg is still swollen up like a ballon with fluid. He has a bar fitted to his shoe to take pressure off his tendons and is on 4 bute a day. He is still very lame and shows no signs of getting better. We are starting to lose hope. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have done research and I’m almost 100% sure that I want one, but I still have some doubts, because I read they can become a problem. I LOVE animals in fact I’m thinking about becoming a vet, and I own two dogs, three turtles and I LOVE to take care of them. So I don’t mind spending time or cleaning after them. PLEASE! I need answers from people who owns or owned a ferret, or maybe that got one and it didn’t work out, or someone who loves them or knows someone that has one (like a sibling, parent, aunt, uncle, cousin, close friend). I know they can be a bit smelly so I would appreciate if no one goes: “ EWW! I saw one once in a pet shop and it smell horrible! Need the advice because I don’t know anyone who owns a ferret.

I got bit on a ranch by a large animal. I don't know if it was a horse or a cow. I thought it was a cow but now some people say "cows don't bite" Anyway i want to start a ranch in Wyoming but I don't want to raise whatever bit me. So I was thinking about penguins as I believe a market might exist selling them to zoos and for food to people and what not. I need to know what it was that bit me at the farm? Also do penguins bite? How much would it cost for a couple of penguin eggs so be shipped to Wyoming? I saw Africa has some penguins so I don't think it will be a problem in Wyoming. Does anyone know what they taste like? I need to order them soon so any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
US Heg

Okay well, theres this breed of horse that I think is so pretty! Anyways, they're like you know, normal and all but like where the hooves are the hair or whatever get like wider! Like bell bottoms!

If you don't know; posting a link to a list of horse breeds would be nice too. =)

my bunny has little sneezing fits. from just a couple sneezes to a series that lasts 20 seconds. i adopted him a month ago, and he's always done it, but I want to make sure its normal and I'm not ignoring him when he's sick. his eyes are clear, he's eating, and he's not getting worse. oh - and he's at least a couple years old - no idea how old exactly. anyone out there want to tell me their rabbit does it too and its no big deal? or give me any recommendations for how to help him out? thanks!

We have a huge mouse problem, we believe they came from our neighbor's house because their house has been vacant for about 2 years and they started renovating a few months ago. My mom recently bought about 10 sticky pads and put them in all the areas that we've seen the mice travel, some even had peanut butter on them, and we still haven't caught anything! they walk around as if it's their house. they party, make noise at night, they're so ANNOYING! The traps aren't working and we have 2 small children in the house so poison is out of the question so what is an effective way to get rid of them and keep them out?

The first one appeared out of no where and looks like a big, deep hole. There's no blood, but the wound smells really bad. Just tonight I noticed a similar "wound" developing on the other side of it's neck. Like I said, it's a deep open wound that smells really bad. The hamster doesn't seem like it's in pain, but certainly seems ill. I also noticed that red spots are starting to develop on it's back legs as well. At first I thought it was trying to chew it's leg off, but I noticed that it's scratching like crazy at it. I know there's something serious here, and my daughter is already devestated by what's happening. About a week before the "wounds" appeared, it seemed to have convulsions, then pushed itself around with it's back legs dragging the front ones, but was better after and hour or so. Could this be related? What should I do? What could it be? Is it worth taking it to a vet? Any help is apprecited. Thanks all

The more outgoing of our two adopted hooded rats, Lillie (the other, Flash, is still very nervous and jumpy from her previous home/treatment) has an odd habit of trying to see how far she can ram her nose into your ear! and if your're really lucky, up a nostril! I imagine its some sort of odd ratty acceptance/affection thing like when she tries to groom our hair and my partners goatee , but whats it all about fellow ratty owners?

1. I have a half dwarf rabbit and he weights 12.6 pounds. I am working on dieting him now but I need to know the ideal weight of a half dwarf rabbit so that he doesnt lose to much weight. I want to know what a normal half dwarf rabbit should weigh.

2. Whenever I let him outside for exercise, all he does is sit and eat! I try to get him to run around but it doesnt work. I think it may be because he is overweight but how do i make him active again. I want him to run and hop around but he doesn't. I really care about my rabbits health!

3. He has what many people call "poopy butt syndrome". I need to know what to do about it. How do i clean it off? I thought maybe a bath but I will probobly get wetter than my rabbit will. Thank you for any help!!

I was told this as a kid.

2007-01-31 12:45:33 · 11 answers · asked by Anonymous

This just started this afternoon The dogs were jumping on and scratching my car. when I opened the hood I saw a squirrel scury into the deeper areas of my car.

I then went for a fast ride in hopes that it would scare it out.
But when I came back I could tell it was still in there by the way the dogs were acting. I put the car behind a gate so my dogs would not damage it.

I can also see where the squirrel has been chewing in the engine compartment.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET IT TO LEAVE SO IT DOESN'T STAY ALL WINTER?
