why does my lop rabbit "thump" her back legs?
i know shes fine but i just didnt know if that means she whants to play or mate?

i know when my gerbils thump ther back feet they whant to play or mate so i didnt know if it was the same or not

When a rabbit thumps their foot, it is because they are warning of danger. They heard or smelled something strange to them that frightened them.

lol i have 2 lops 1 guy 1 girl...when i let them hop in the hard for 2-3 hours they have a ball...when i put them back the thump...i think it is to clean and fluff their fur...also my dog scared my female rabbit and she thumped off of fear.. i guess it all depends

Most of the time, they thump to draw attention. Whether it is for play time or mate time.

sometimes they thump out of fear, danger or sometimes they thump when they want to play.

If rabbits want to mate, their will circle their mate (or sometimes you)
