I am taking a pet survey, to find out the ratio of one pet to the other. Tell me what kind of pet you have, the breed (if it has one), and why you chose that pet, and if you had the chance to repick would you and if so what would it be. The most interesting answer gets 10 points.

we have a little pony and he does tend to nip every now and then, i don't think he does it in a nasty way, more playful. I don't want to smack him on the nose as ive seen this done to other horses and when you raise your hand they flinch. any ideas?

i have an old horse, early 30's,this summer he did fine got fat on just pasture and a small amount of senior feed daily, considering his age he is very healthy still able to be ridden, only has a bit of arthritis in front knee and has lost all grinding teeth, over all he has had no major issues,up until now,the cold weather has hit,he is outright refusing to eat,i have tried every way i can think of to get him to eat his strictly senior diet,i cant seem to get him to eat it with any consistency, one day he will eat a little the next outright refuses feed,he is getting dangerously skinny, the vet and i are at a loss on how to get him to eat, when he is turned out he will paw at the snow and look for grass under the snow,so i know it isn't a matter of him not wanting food altogether it is just they type of feed i think, he wants green grass,he has hay available at all times and will nibble at it but cannot chew hay so that does him no good,i just don't know what to do for him,i am at a loss

I live in North Dakota, and temps drop below freezing frequently. We keep the rabbits in our garage, but their water bottle freezes, and we need to thaw it a couple times a day? Anyone know of any additives to prevent this? Thanks

Just curious what others feed their 'pets' to keep them fit... mine has such a fast metabolism it's a bit of a struggle to keep weight on... and with the cost of timothy around here it's a bit pricey! And what kind of supplements do you feed?

Thanks!

a friend of mine told me that she went to a pig farm and saw that one pig would eat food and then ****, and then the next pig would eat pigs ****, then he would **** and the **** would be fed to the next pig. is this true?

I think they look sharp and clever. yeah their senses are really sharp.

Do you think a husky makes a good pet? I think the other one that makes a good pet is the dog with all wrinkles on his face looks rather ugly like a bulldog but it's not as aggressive like a bulldog..i don't even know the name of it.

Oh one more thing, can they withstand hot weather, or are they just good for cold snowy climates?

alleviate the overpopulation problem and killing animals at the shelter if all the vets would reduce the cost of spay and neutering?
And offer that service even though they are pregnant, in heat, and young?
I rescue cats and have a wonderful vet that will do it even if they are very young. They do not turn down any cats unless they are very sick. I have been doing it for a year now and have never had any complications.

I think it is very mean. Couldn't these horses be happy not racing? Maybe they just want to be out in the pasture and eat grass, or flirt with the other horses. It was not their choice to be a race horse. They would probably just rather chill in the barn.

My partner has been in hospital for 2 weeks. Our tabby has been so sweet, even though she didn't know why this was happening, and why I had to throw her out for 12 hours a day, as I have to work. When will we realise how beautiful and caring animals are?
