You should consider price, upkeep and time that you have to help you determine which pet is right for you. All pets have different costs to get you started and different maintenance costs and each needs different attention / time. Good luck.

Chinchilla's really dont like to play with humans much. I had 3 of them and they really disliked interacting with anyone in my family and they had been handled since birth. Rats are great pets They are clean, smart and love to be handled. They have a relativly short life span which when you are younger (you do not mention your age but mention your parent which indicates you are living at home) is a somewhat good thing. You will be looking at collage or moving out in a few years and trying to find a home/school that will accept pets is not fun. I also had a bearded dragon not sure about water dragons but teh bearded dragon used to sit on my shoulder for hours and just snuggle with me. Not much of a 'player' but he could sure give youn some mean snuggles. Hamsters are nice pets but dont tend to like to be held for long periods at least none of the ones my kids had did. Ferrets are awesome pets but they take a lot of work and a lot of money. They need the same yearly shots etc that a cat would need. Often live up to 10 years and need 4 or more hours a day outside of the cage in a ferret proof room to play.

That depends on a few factors.

1. Do you want something you can play with?
2. What level of maintenance are you willing to do?
3. Can you afford the set up and upkeep?

I would say a Rat. Get one as a baby and handle often. They are so smart and loving. My 3rd grader had one that loved to sit on her head.

In my opinion you would probably do best with a rat. They are pretty low maintenance and loads of fun.
Keep in mind though that they do need allot of TLC and in general they tend to get cranky if they don't get played with at least once a day. At least that's my experience however they all have they're own personalities just like people do.
I've got two friends who have rats too that behave similarly though.
Whatever you do, don't let anyone choose for you.
This is your pet and you have to live with your choice.
I hope you have fun choosing and have fun with your new pet whatever you go with.

OMG! Chinchilla's are so friggin' soft and adorable! Have you ever felt how beautiful their fur is? Those suckers are quick as heck though, so be careful! They jet around all over the place, bouncy, wirey things sometimes.

Hamster are ALWAYS a cute pet but you have to realize that's a pet you probably will only have 2 - 3 years, they don't have a long lifespan.

They're all so different, you really need to do a lot of research first. Out of your options, hamsters are the easiest to care for and a good first-time pet. Rats are relatively easy to care for, but they have specific housing requirements as they are escape artists!

Yoou should get a Panda Bear Hamster,
As to the color, the Panda Bear Hamster bears a striking resemblance to Panda Bears, featuring black head and white body with black markings. The best option...¡¡¡¡
