I have 2 Russian Blue Dumbo rats. I chose this pet because we have no time for a dog and peopel have told me rats are just like small dogs, and I loved there floppy ears. If I had the chance to repick I would get a Chuhiuia or a jack russel because I have the time to care for a dog now!

Right now, I am the proud mommy of 4 cats (strays), 1 puppy (also was a stray), 2 sheep (the kind you don't have to shave) 4 goats, a bunny and some fish. I would not repick because with all animals, they have their own personalities and I fell in love with them for who they are. The sheep especially! They are so much fun! You would be suprised how high sheep can jump and how fast they can run! I would like to get a shetland pony this summer.

We have quite the zoo! We have a dog, he is a neapolitan mastiff. We actually rescued him because we thought the breed was really interesting and knew there were many out there that needed to be adopted. We have a cat that we got from a shelter. The reason we got him was because my daughter wanted a kitty, we went to the shelter and he had a lot of personality. We have a rat, which I consider to be the best pet in the world. Recently my youngest daughter had to have a tarantula. So we got her a chilean red hair tarantula. She is very interested in spiders, and has wanted one for awhile. I don't think I would pick anything else, I really love the dog, cat, and rat, but I am uncomfortable around the tarantula.

1 Bulldog(English)
2 Chihuahuas
1 Cat
2 Ferrets
2 Sugar Gliders
2 Rats
1 Ball Python
4 Crawldaddies
2 Goldfish
I love all my pets, but my Chihuahuas are my favorite. I have a big family( a husband and 4 kids) so all the animals are someones favorite, and yes the rats are pets, not snake food, and they are my 9 yr old daughters favorite.
My grandpa breed coon hounds and ran an animal rescue when I was young, and I was raised there so I have had a lot of strange animals, but they were not all pets some were rehabilated and others not. I will start off with the pets;coon hounds, raccoons, skunks, lizards and snakes of many different types, goats, horses, a feneca fox, cats, ground squirrel, ducks, chickens, and pigs
The ones that were rehabilated and set free or were used to take for education about wildlife species was; some raccoons if they could be returned to the wild, squirrels,a hawk, a wolf(rescued from someone who bought it for a pet and then quit feeding it when it got to big and aggressive),a black bear(previous pet), a bobcat(previous pet), and a lot of other animals over the years.
I do not understand why people go and buy these big wild animals for pets. They are not pets, and they are going to get to big for you to keep. They require acres of land to be able to live comfortable, exercise, and special diets, not to mention it is not as much fun to wrestle with a full grown bob cat as it is a baby one. There was a question on here early about what to feed a pet alligator. What is that person going to do when it is 6-9ft. long and will try to take off their arm. They are not pets and can not be tamed. Do they have a fenced in pen with at least a couple acres of land for the alligator, and the pool which needs to be at least 10 ft. deep at some part. Do they know how they are going to afford the 20+lbs of food it will require a day eventually, and the fact that sooner or later it is not going to want to play with them. These types of animals are also going to require vet care if they are with humans. Do they have a vet who will see their pet or no where to find one, probable not. This will be another creature that will get abused and neglected, and if lucky will eventually go to someone like my grandpa who would care for it the right way, still it will never be able to know the joys of freedom or of finding a mate. Oh I am sorry got on my soap box. I do not mind exotic pets and have a couple myself, but get small ones that you can care for, and our not going to try and eat you one day.

I have about 2140
pets
1 hedgehog (don't know if it has a breed but I think it's a dwarf one)
7 frogs (cane frogs)
50-100 stick insects
2000 sea monkeys
13 guinea pigs (my eldest female had babies with my eldest male who we thought was a male when he was bought and we bought another female from a pet shop who was already pregnant) all are peruvian
5 skinny pigs
6 baldwin guinea pigs
around 20 fish
3 snakes
1 dwarf hamster
We either rescued or took off the hands of incompetent pet owners all of these pets but the peruvian guinea pigs, the stick insects (my daughters named them all) and the sea monkeys.
If i could pick another pet, i would choose a chimp because they are so clever (but i would never get one as i would no way be able to fit it into my tiny house!)
Yeah, so i'm a bit of a pet-maniac! LOL

All animals require time, money and work. Of course that's only when you take proper care of them. In my opinion you are far too busy for a hamster, guinea pig, etc. because they are way more work than you think and need a decent amount of space when in the proper size cage. I'd look into something like a gecko a bit more since they wouldn't desire attention as much. I suggest you look online for good care advice. Pet store employees often give horrible care advice, their goal is to make pet care seem simple because it helps them sell more pets.

I have 3 French Bulldogs (Harley, Lily, and Emma), a Bernese Mountain Dog (Bernie), and a Belgian Malinois (Reno, because I was kind of taking a gamble on him when I got him, I was not sure what his temperament would be). The Frenchies are AKC conformation show dogs, the Berner is a therapy dog, and the Mal is a rescue (he had been severely beaten and was almost 35 lbs underweight when I first saw him, and I felt so sorry for him that I had to take him home with me and he has turned out to be a great dog). I got all of my dogs because of their temperaments. If I could re-pick I wouldn't, I love all of my furkids.
I also have a 3000 gallon pond with a bunch of goldfish in it and a HUGE butterfly koi named "Jaws".

We have
3 Horses (2 Arabians, 1 Missouri Fox Trotter)
5 Dogs (2 Rough Coat Breeding pair Collies, 1 Black Lab,1 German Shepherd, and 1 Chihuahua/Pekingese)
15 hens (egg layers)
1 Rooster
9 barn cats
1 indoor cat
7 Collie puppies that need homes.
We chose all of our pets because we love to hunt up land birds, love small breed of dogs, wanted to have a protector and enjoy the brains of the Collie.
We love to go for long trail rides and Arabians and Missouri Fox Trotters have the stamina to ride for hours or days.
We enjoy fresh farm eggs, and being woken up at the earliest of hours :)
We don't enjoy vermin's eating our horse and dog food
and last but not least I enjoy cats and I could only have one cat in the house since my husband is allergic to them.

I've got 2 rabbits, 3 cats and some fish. The two rabbits are the best pets. We take them out of the cage every day and let them run in the backyard. The kids love them. We hand feed them treats like carrots every day after the kids come home from school. They make really neat pets!

I have 6 animals! I love them very much so!
I have two horses. Beau, a 15.2 hand 19 year old Morgan/Quarterhorse cross. He's a chestnut, with a white blaze, and a leftfront/lefthind white sock. He's a real beauty. I use him for Dressage, Huntseat, Trails and Pleasure. I also have a another horse named Frasier. Frais is a big boy at 18.3 hands. He's actually pretty old, around 26 years old. He's a lighter chestnut with two markings on his righthind/lefthind. They're very little white markings. He actually used too be in the Grand Prix, I admire him a lot for having that kind of ability. He used too be able too jump until his previous owners overjumped him and he pulled a tendon, and sometimes acts lame on it. He's a real sweetheart though.
Next, I have two pugs. Pugsley and Otis. Pugsley is hyper too the max, and makes me angry sometimes. haha. Otis is a rather mellow dog.
I also have two persian cats. They were abused before I got them, so they are timid. Martha, whos a gray, is extremely sweet, and Coco, who's white and gray, is relatively timid
I love my animals soo much!
