Okay well, theres this breed of horse that I think is so pretty! Anyways, they're like you know, normal and all but like where the hooves are the hair or whatever get like wider! Like bell bottoms!

If you don't know; posting a link to a list of horse breeds would be nice too. =)

are you thinking of clydesdales? like the budweiser horses? there are also other draft horses with what you described..but a clydesdale is probably the most common for non-horsey people ;)

is this what you're thinking of? http://www.enimal.de/tiere/images/articles/pferderassen/clydesdale_cob.jpg

this site has MANY different horse breeds and pictures.

well, what you are describing is a draft breed if they have feet like a budwizer horse. Depending on what color it is could be a different breed. But here are the draft breeds and common colors. Hope this helps. Oh if it is a regular size horse and not big like a draft it may be a mix.
Brown with lighter mane and tail- (budwiser horse) it is a Clydesdale.
If it is Black it is a Black Percheron (can be gray too in this case it is called a Grey Percheron
If it is Black and White (Like a paint)it is a Gypsy Vanner) A search in yahoo with "types of Draft Horses" and the word pics or photos in your search bar should bring up a site that you can compare and find the one you are looking for.

There are a few draft breeds that have feathering like you've mentioned. There are also alot of warmbloods and hardier horses that get feathering when they aren't trimmed up for showing or health reasons (my old Holsteiner got feathers, but only in the winter when he grew his winter coat).

As far as a link to horse breeds, the Oklahoma State "List of Lifestock Breeds" website is a great resource. It lists alot of breeds, and shows good quality photos of them. Not only horses, but sheep, goats, swine, and cattle as well. The link to their site is below.

you are describing feathers. This is the name for the long hair on the legs of the horse. Many breeds have feathering (clydesdales-the budweiser horses, gypsy vanners, freisans)

Could be any number of breeds or cross breeds:

Fresian: http://www.dread.net/~steele/fresian.html

Clydesdale or other draft breed: http://www.imh.org/imh/bw/perch.html

Or.... many other cross-breeds and even some ponies fit your description.

Good luck! Hope you find out what you're looking for.
