I don't want to be a Veteranarian

What other careers with Animals are there?

I am an animal massage therapist. I work for myself, set my own schedule, make great $$$, and alleviate suffering in animals.

If that does not appeal to you, there are many others. Without knowing what kind of animals you are interested in, here are a few:

Vet Tech
Farrier
Groomer
Kennel Worker
Pet Shop Employee
Pet Sitter

Tons! Heres a few:
Trainier
Vet Tech(basically help out with surgires but I don't think you do any of the big stuff, also you restrain the animals most of the time while the Vet does the check up or what ever.)
Groomer
I'm taking an Animal Care class right now and it's very good, you should check it out. So far they have covered restraints on small animals, cats and dogs. A month unit on fish, dog breeds and more about dogs. Currently we are on cat's and soon we will be doing grooming. We'll be traning dogs as well in the spring so maybe look into a class before attending a college, it'll give you a heads up.

Well as the other person stated you can be a pet shop employee as I am just make sure you pick the right place. Its fun and you never know what you'll see. In my year and 1/2 working at a pet store I've seen more animals than most people see in a life time!

Skip Vet Tech too. Backbreaking, heartbreaking, NASTY work!

You could manage the office part of the Vet. Veterinarians are very bad at running the business part of their practices. You can make lots of money doing it for them.
