my bunny has little sneezing fits. from just a couple sneezes to a series that lasts 20 seconds. i adopted him a month ago, and he's always done it, but I want to make sure its normal and I'm not ignoring him when he's sick. his eyes are clear, he's eating, and he's not getting worse. oh - and he's at least a couple years old - no idea how old exactly. anyone out there want to tell me their rabbit does it too and its no big deal? or give me any recommendations for how to help him out? thanks!

Does he have wet nose? A little sneezing here and there is ok, but wet nose is a sign of snuffles. My rabbit has the snuffles (an infectious respiratory disease of young rabbits caused by the Pasteurella bacterium), but it's under control. He still sneezes but not as bad as before.

It's best if you take your rabbit for a full check up. =)

Could be something called snuffles, which is like a rabbit cold. If that's the case, it needs to see a rabbit qualified vet, as it could spread and cause an upper respiratory infection, among other things.
Also, what kind of bedding are you using? If you're using anything with cedar or pine in it, please change to something like carefresh or aspen shavings, because they don't have the harmful irritating oils in them. I would call a vet though just in case, even if it's just to ask over the phone. Rabbits are very sensitive animals.

Sneezing can be caused by lots of things.... dust, hay, etc. But I agree that if he has a wet nose, he needs to see a vet, as it is a sign of pastuerella (snuffles). This is a bacterial infection that can be controlled with medication but can be potentially dangerous.

Some rabbits get snuffles and colds. If you are really worried take it to the vet.Ensure the rabbit does not get too cold.Rabbits are burrowing creatures and keep themselves in burrows.Give it plenty of hay to snuggle under.

my rabbit has had it b4 and u can cure it but it can be hard to cure. go to ur vet asap to get the medicine. it'll take some work but u can do it. we have saved many baby bunnies from snuffles.

Sneezing is caused by some irritent in his nose, probably some form of dust, powder, cosmetic?. You should keep track of where he does it. Check his litter and keep his cage clean.

My rabbit used to do that. sort of cute. He was not sick. But a vet could tell you for sure.

like most animals, smell in one of the highest sense's.highly relied upon. dusted, and sprayed deodorizer's./ or dusty bedding of fiber base bedding's can cause allergies. try different bedding materials. as natural as poss-able is usually best, but requires more maintenance.

If you have him on pine or aspen you may try changing that to carefresh or some kind of dust free bedding.
