I have a five year old american shorthair cat. She isn't the most lovable cat in the world, but she never bites. She's very shy, and doesn't bother anyone. My uncle has a dog, Kayla. Kayla is his pride and joy. She goes with him everywhere! Now here's my problem. My uncle was in a serious car accident a couple days ago,and he doesn't have anyone to take Kayla while he is in the hospital. The doctors say that my uncle won't be able to take care of Kayla for AT LEAST 2-3 months. So, we have to keep her here during that time. My cat and Kayla growled at each other and my cat ran and hid. (We can't put Kayla in our basement because she barks the whole time) How do I get them to get along FAST?! Please help!

Rat care info???

Im getting a rat from my brother this weekend all the way in Battle Creek. The only rodent ive had is the teddy bear hamster i currently am taking care of. I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice in care, feeding, and treats and just overrall informationa about rats like whether or not they will have to run the house in a ball or not or how big of a cage they will need or if they will break out like hamters do. And i need to know like handling tips. If someone could answer my questions and more i would greatly appreciate it. thanks. (and i dont want any rude comments please. thanks.)

I am buying a horse. She is a 5 year old Freisian/Arab/paint mare that is a grey pinto. Her show name is Raspberry Vinaigrette. Does anyone have any suggestions for a call name for her (her normal name). So far I have thought of Vinny, but that seems to masculine. I am open to anything. If y'all have a more femme version of Vinny, that would be great too. Thanks!

My class has a class pet, or should I say had. . .you see, we had a pet about a month ago. Then it died. Just today we found baby praya mantis in the old age. She must have been pregant before she died and had layed her eggs too. Our teacher is letting us keep some(how cool). I am going to get two. I only have one problem. . .what should I name them??? I was thinking something unusual, like Willow, or Vera. Something interesting. . .PLEASE HELP!!!

p.s.- I don't know if they will be boys or gurls. . .it doesn't matter though, just give me a list.

I have a 5 year old Mini-Rex rabbit. Unfortunately, there are not enough Vets who specialize in rabbit care. While I have always been told if a rabbit is eating and sleeping and seems upbeat and playful, his health is fine, not to worry.

I have followed all the rules - in diet (Timothy hay, pellets, etc.), cage cleaning, exercise, grooming, environmental conditions, etc. for my pet rabbit. But he has had chronic diahhrea for several weeks.

He is not under stress (which I know also causes this) and the Vet specialists I have taken him too, don't do anything other than offer antibiotic prescriptions which are not working.

Any legit advice here is appreciated. Thank you.

My male degu Nybbie is about 3 years old. In the last 2 weeks or so he's drastically lost weight. Now he is a skeleton with fur, and I'm scared. His sister fro the sae litter, Chyrrip, is just fine. She's chubby and active, with shiny fur. However, Nybbie is tired, sleeps alost all day long, only picks at his food (azuri blocks, chinchilla pellets, Timothy hay and fresh veggies) no matter what kind of treat I offer. Also, sometimes when he stands up he'll lose his balance and stumble. I've noticed he hardly runs in his wheel, he'll still use it everyday, but mostly just to walk or sit in. He doesn't climb as often as usual, either, and has fallen fro the bars of the cage onto his nest-mound, which he hasn't spent much time on for awhile either. He used to build onto his ound everyday. His eyes are shiny and bright, his fur is sort of less shiny, but he doesn't respond to seeing his sister the way he used to. He used to purr, chitter, squeal, buck and wag his tail. Is he just old?

I heard that it's much better for my dog and cats to be eating all natural foods, but I can't remember the name of the brand that was recommended to me. I want to switch all my animals (two cats and a dog) over to natural food slowly - first by mixing the two (old and new), then by moving over to only the natural food. The only problem is that I don't know the best kind of all natural cat and dog food to try. Any suggestions or info? Thanks a million for anything. I'm not sure where to start.
