there are five newborn bunnies and they do not have there mother because she is to violent around them. she pretty much seems like she does not care for them. i read that i could give them this formula that is used for kittens and feed them through a little bottle. i am trying my best to make things comfortable for these little guys. just recently one by one there whole body started to twitch, no not the nose. right now they are doing fine as far as not twitching but still just wanted to be on the safe side. plus i dont have that much money to send all five to the vet. it would cost way to much.

Kitten formula is just too high in protein for bunnies. Cats are carnivores and bunnies are herbivores... the milk is completely different. You'd do better with goat milk replacer or something along those lines.

Better yet, see if mom will take the babies back. They need to be fed every couple hours, even through the night. It's going to be a tough couple weeks if mom won't take them back. Unless she actually injures a baby, give her time.

Make sure your babies are warm enough. Rabbits have a high body temperature, and the babies need to be kept warm, like if they were still with their mom.

Good luck, and I hope the best for your bunnies.

No need to worry! I have a rabbit and im so concerned about things that dont matter. First of all, what kind of twitching are they doing? If it's their nose twitching then thats completely normal. My bunnys nose is twitching constantly. its a normal rabbit thing. i think its to help them smell or something. If they just suddenly skitter and jump up high in the aair, that is also normal. Its just what they do when they feel frisky. if you are still unsure or if they are doing something else, then i would take them all for a checkup just to be sure. hope i helped!

I am absolutely sure you shouldve left the mother with those babies. how did you figure out she was not caring for them in less than a day? i am sure what you thought was "violent" is completely normal, rabbits know more about how to be rabbits than we do. i tried being a rabbit and it didnt work, i learned how to use the watter bottle but i couldnt make myself "go potty" in the corner of the room or pull my own hair to make a nest.

If it is like a cold twitch, then this is normal. (As in, they are acting like they are cold). Another thing that it could be is that they are not used to the noise level that is around them. Most animals have a wonderful sense of hearing! Animals can hear things that the human ear can not. Try to lessen the noise level around them.

you can call a vet and ask them but don't let them tell you to bring them in it could cost a lot of money also, are you doing it your self or is the mom still around,i know when a cat or dog give birth they are very shaky,if the mom is around then she know what to do

what happened to there mother? if you have the mother let her take care of them, does only nurse there litter once a day, hand feeding is usually deadly.
