Trick question right?

Heck I don't even squash BUGS! (well, cockroaches and mosquitoes do get the swat)

If you break it down to its bare essentials:
"Abusing an animal is a way for a human to find power/joy/fulfillment through the torture of a victim they know cannot defend itself."

Now break down a human crime, say rape. If we substitute a few pronouns, it's the SAME THING.
"Rape is a way for a human to find power/joy/fulfillment through the torture of a victim they know cannot defend themselves."

Now try it with, say, domestic abuse such as child abuse or spousal abuse:
"Child abuse is a way for a human to find power/joy/fulfillment through the torture of a victim they know cannot defend themselves."

Do you see the pattern here?

The line separating an animal abuser from someone capable of committing human abuse is much finer than most people care to consider. People abuse animals for the same reasons they abuse people. Some l stop with animals, but enough have been proven to continue on to commit violent crimes to people.

Every serious violent offender has a history of animal abuse in their past, and since there's no way to know which animal abuser is going to continue on to commit violent human crimes.

You know how you see films every once in awhile of elephants going mad. Do you think those poor tortured creatures behave like this because they LIKE being brutalized by meat hooks and unspeakable horrors?

See how you feel about KFC after seeing this.

Anyone who harms a creature that trusts and loves as completely and forgivingly as a dog deserves to be shot at dawn for some of the horrors perpetrated on our "best friend". Puppy mills are another form of cruetly.

I ask you, what do YOU think is the right answer?

The answer is a no brainer, wrong wrong wrong. There is no excuse for hurting a helpless creature!

Hello! scott m.
One way to answer your question "how would you like to be treated?
Animals have feelings to.
They trust in their owner and do not understand why they are being treated this way when being abused.
I know of a case where a 6 week old pup was being mistreated so a person picked it up took him home and he had a wonderful life right up until he died at the age of 17.
I believe when a person knows of animal cruelty it is their responsability to report it right away to the RSPCA or the police and they will come in and deal with it.
Take care!

Animal cruelty is wrong, so much damage has been done through animal cruelty to our world. How do we expect the future generations to learn from our mistakes if we can't own up to them?

Cruelty to the animals is cruelty to all. We has humans don't like to be treated cruelly and cruelty to humans is an injustice. What makes us think that it is any different for animals?

So wrong. People have so many problems but why they take it out on their animals I will NEVER understand. Cruelty is a serious offence when it's commited against a person and I think it shouhld be just as serious when it's commited against an animal too.

The laws should be strict against people that abuse animals.

Did you know that serial killers abused animals when they were small? A sure sign that people that do this are SICK!

Vote in judges that take animal abuse serious.

We have a problem where I live. People just drop puppies or kittens off in the desert to be eaten by the coyotes or starved to death. Imagine being in that situation.

who would say it is right? what kind of question is this? its kinda like saying "do you like to stub your toe? yes or no". you dont have to be in PETA (house of lies) organization to think cruelty is wrong. now if you wanted to ask a question just to start a debate here, it would be more like " do you feel like cruelty toward animals is being reduced through education? or have you read the articles in "psychology today" linking animal torture and serial killers?

I absolutely have mixed thoughts about animal cruelty. i'm pondering preventing cruelty at the same time as it contains drowning kittens and clubbing seals, and beating domestic canines. yet no longer a lot at the same time as it contains swatting the biting flies, poisoning the fleas on my canines and burning lime affliction wearing expensive tics off of my youthful ones legs...
