I don't want any stupid answers they 'they eat them', I am really concerned and would just like to know what happens to them.

I have a friend who worked at a pet store. they send them to the pound. she would tell people to check the pound because you can get the same pet store dogs there for a lot less money.

In some instances the animals get sent back to the breeder they came from...what the breeder does with them after they are sent back, who knows!

I thought they reduce the price (sale) of the puppy, so the longer they stay the lower the price because the puppy starts to get bigger.

they get put in a shelter and if noone adopts them there then they get killed very sad buty there is one place i know of that does not kill their cats very nice indeed and its cageless
