I know there is a Guardian Angel of God's animal creatures, but I don't know which Angel it is. Please, no smarta** comments as we have to put down our 20 yr old cat in an hour because of health reasons, and being a Christian, I need to know who the Angel is... thank you.

St. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of all animals but there is also the Rainbow Bridge. Christian or not, I believe our sweet furry friends will be waiting for up when we too cross over that bridge.

I am so sorry to hear that you are losing your beloved cat but twenty years old means he has lived a long, happy life. Take comfort in knowing that you gave him the very best life a kitty could have and know that one day you be together again.

I'd put in a word with St. Francis...he's the protector saint of all animals. Way I look at it, the angels are kind of messengers for the big guys. Give your sweet cat into the care of St. Francis...there's always a place for another one of his creatures!

I don't know which angel watches over animals. I like to think they all do. However, St. Francis of Asissi is the patron saint of animals. If you plan to bury your cat at home, you should try to put a St. Francis medal with her/him.

I believe perhaps there is more than one. Like we all have our own guardian angel, perhaps so do they. St. Francis is the saint that protects them, Saint Modest in the Greek-orthodox dogma, perhaps other angels whose names we don't know, but I know for a fact that they are watched over. Jesus said so Himself (he said "look at the birds and plants, who are cared for by their Heavenly Father"), and I have seen how my cat who went through a lot was saved, because he was too young to die. I also think perhaps sometimes God works through us, I mean he makes us find, love and care for an animal on his behalf, so perhaps you are your cat's angel. I know how hard this time must be for you, but you have to think that your cat lived a full life (we should be so lucky to reach the equivalent of her years), and I am sure that it was a happy life, full of love, thanks to you. So just keep the nice memories you have of her, that's what she wants you to do, so that her life as a memory will be a pleasant one too. And maybe rescue another kitty in her memory, I think she will rest in piece if her absence at least saves another kitten's life.

St Francis is one who is the patron saint of animals. Ask for his guidence and to take your cat home with him. He will watch over your furbaby. He did mine who died in March after being hit by a car and killed. St Francis made sure my dog, Buster, felt no pain in the accident that took his life and the life of my best friend. I still miss him sorely.
I'm sorry you have to face such a difficult end to a loving friend and furbaby. Ask St Francis to accept your baby, I'm positive he will.
