That question has an infinity of answers. I don't ever remember a time when I didn't have a pet. Oh yes once, before I started school & my elder sister & I found some Toads to Love.
Have you ever heard the saying, 'The more people I meet, the more I love my pets?' I've thought that once or twice jokingishly. - now that is a word! -smile-
I couldn't imagine life without my girls!

People love pets because the pets love you back unconditionally. They don't care what you look like or how you're dressed.
Pets also don't talk back with smart aleck answers.
It's nice to come home when someone is glad to see you -- every time.

Pets are good company when you are alone and if you are a kid/teenager it helps you learn responsibility. You also have someone to talk to even if they can't talk back. And if you have the right pet you feel loved.

Pets are the ultimate best friend because they always stand by you, they come to you when you are sick, they love you unconditionally, and they never tell anyone your secrets.
It gives people a way to bond, to feel protected and secured, and have something to cuddle with that doesnt talk back!

There are as many reasons as people, a few I have heard:
Animals do not talk back.
They can keep your feet warm at night without much other commitment.
Unconditional love - no matter how bad the day has been, there is someone to greet you at the door.
They do not go out of their way to spend your money. (My brother's philosophy)
I am sure others will add to this list.

I'll tell you why I love mine-
Loyal- you will never find a human that loyal- ever.
Love- they don't get mad too often, or hold a grudge for long, they adore you no matter what.
Don't get me wrong, I love people too, but animals have different love than we do.

They offer unconditional love, companionship, and total and complete devotion, even though many times i don't deserve it. They don't care how i look, where i go, where i've been, who my friends are, how much money i have, or anything else about me, just as long as i come home. They require so little from me, but give me so much. animals are one of God's greatest creations.

I love my dog because he is very loyal....I could be having a bad day and when I come home he gives me a look and I forget about my bad day,.
