Try this magazine for info on better food choices www.whole-dog-journal.com

There are companies out there that are using good, human grade ingredients in their food like timberwolf organics or newman's own.

you can also look into feeding your pet the natural way here www.rawfed.com

Our dogs are allegic to a lot of additives and synthesized products in most pet foods, thats why we use Purina Beneful: Healthy Radiance. It is really natural and obviously has no additives. ( a lot of these pet foods i am about to name also have products for cats also)

Here is the link to the healthy radiance product:
http://www.beneful.com/products/healthyradiance.aspx

but you can also try healthy harvest which is a nother really great one!:

Another great natural dog food is Science Diet, however it runs on the more expensive side. Our vet reccommended this natural product for our dogs but we found Beneful to be cheaper... But here is the link...

Another GREAT dog food is Canidae Platinum for older or overweight dogs-- it has a lot of joint supplements in it to help aid with aging.
http://www.canidae.com/dogs/platinum/dry.html

They also have a formula Lamb and Rice-- that has rice and lamb, no corn, and lots of soy ( its good if your dog has a sensitive stomach and needs extra protein )

They have a chicken and rice and then an All life Stages feed... take a look at them =)

Good luck!

try Nature's Variety. it really is a great natural food! you get b1g1free coupons from website.www.naturesvariety.com. Keep in mind that if you do the raw diets that your pet(s) need crunchy things to keep teeth clean. this too can lead to organ failure if left unobserved!

The best way to ensure your dog gets fed natural and healthy food, is to "cook" for him or her.
This site has some recipes for all kinds of dogs. Since you make them, you know what's going in to them.
The site is at

There's a link where you can get an email with recipes for free.
