i hand fed my ferret a french fry last night with no salt or nothing on it at all and it was small . so is that safe or did i really mess up also what human food can a ferret safely eat?

It is not safe to do it often, and is harmful for their little bodies, but one time isn't going to hurt anything.
You can feed very very small (and very rarely) pieces of fruit. They love them, but too much sugar is a bad thing.
You can also feed them scraps of any type of meat (tuna, chicken, beef, etc) as long as it has not been salted or sugared.

A very small bit of certain foods is fine. No sugar unless it's a bit of raisin, nothing hard that could potentially cause intestinal blockage, like carrot or apple. Ferrets are obligate carnivores and really can't handle much in the way of vegetation and fruit. The best treats are meat or meat-based, ferretone, ferretvite (a little once in a while - sugar content) and a piece of their kibble from your hand makes a good treat. A couple cheerios now and then - they love them.

hi i have lots of ferrets and have done for many years now i don't think that the French fry will hurt your ferret this time but i would not make feeding your ferret chips a thing OK. ferrets like to eat rabbit duck chicken but not cooked chicken ok but if u do not work your ferret then u can buy mince meat they like that as well. they also like pigeon OK Gd luck. ferrets eat meat not veg i can not believe all you people who are saying veg that is so not right they don't eat veg or fruit omg .

None. Keep to ferret food and ferretone. Treats made for ferrets are usually also not too good for them since they have too much sugar and carbs in them.

While ferrets are omnivores - needing both vegetation and protein - a fry would not be my first choice in snackage. Think carrots and similar things - a small apple wedge. They will also eat insects. Just be careful about varying from the normal diet as it will throw their digestive tract off and you will have a mess to clean up.

your not suppose to give them that, but if it was just one, he should be fine. the only human food i know they can eat is raw meat. everything is too hard on their liver.

I am not sure but i dont think u can give animals human food. u should probably give it fruits and vegetable. like once a week give it some seedless grapes, or orange, or apple, or carrots. Hope i helped
