I'm sure a lot of you have heard of the recall but please use this website that lists all known pet food affected and the UPC, my friend just lost 2 of her cat's to what we believe was the food that she had fed them, not knowing that it was contaminated. Her two normally healthy cats had kidney failure. . . We are not sure if this was the cause, but she did purchase some of the food that was listed on this list. . . . .

Most stores have made an effort to pull it off of the shelves, to the best of there ability. .. but my friend had bough there food a while ago and wasnt thinking, so please double check! My animals are ike family to me, please dont let it happen to you're pets :(

im going to buy a pet mouse but i dont know what type i want a mouse that can stay in a cage and likes exercise and is very cute

I'm going to be asking for my rats. SOON. i've put a lot of time into this, and i've only got two problems left.

my mom will probably say - that mouse's (i have a mouse) tank smells so bad (it really doesn't) having rats in a open wire cage will smell even worse!

so, what can i tell her? does a wire cage smell less than an aquarium? i would imagine so, since the smell would be less concentrated. is that true?

also, what are some points i could mention that make wire cages better than aquariums?

I didn't know where else to post this on Yahoo Ans. So i thought i'd take a shot here.
Basically i have a huge/major fear of bugs and found this lil critter on my doorframe. I have never seen a bug like this before. I'm deathly afraid of spiders so i'm hoping this isn't just a funky gone wrong version of one but my husband (A native Texan) has never seen this thing before either. I have a feeling it came from the attick, i had to get the bassinet out this morning and i've seen tiny spiders up there before with no color to them at all, they're white like this bug-is it harmful? thought i'd ask here anyway, i know this isn't the right section, but, i have two baby girls crawling, i'd hate for them to get close to this wierd thing. And please, no idiotic/immature/stupid responses!!
Click/Copy paste the link to see this thing....

easy to locate
shes either off on the horse or out in the barn
upholds the double standard. smooches with the most whiskered beast, but recoilswhen hubby needs a shave
owns one vacum cleaner and operates it exclusively in the barn.
ecomony minded. wont waste money on permanents, facials, or manicures.
a culinary perfectionest. checks every section of hay for mold but doesnt blink when she petrifies dinner in the microwave.
Easy to outfit. no need to for embarassing visits to uncomfortable little botiques. you can find all she wears at the local tack store.
Features a selective sence of smell. Bitterly complains about hubbies sticky-sweet cigar smoke while remaining totaly oblivious to the almost visible aroma of her barn boots drying next to the heater.
A master of multiplication. she starts with 1 horse adds a companian, and if its a mare, she breeds it.

I have a girl ferret named Yolee. She only slightly bigger than she was when i got her at 2-3 months old, she is now 1yr 3mos old. She is hilarious to watch walk around like an inch worm, jump around like a monkey and make silly noises when playing. Does anyone else have a ferret(s)? Whats their name(s)? Tell me what quirks they have ~ make it funny.

i have a full grown 5lined skink and a baby 5 lined skink along with an anole living together, they dont fight, the anole stays near plant and both skinks stay under bark. i dont know what to do with them. i have them in a clear plastic cage about 1 1/2 feet to 2 feet long and about 1 foot wide. i have a real monkey grass in corner (hanging place for anole), a curved bark (hanging area for the skinks, they hang under it), and then have a stick going from corner of cage to other end, soil as ground except for under the curved bark which is mosses.. they wont eat, the cricket was eaten but the worms and the snails werent, nor the ant or spider.. only the baby skink will drink water out of the cleaned milk cap, the anole or the skink wont drink, not that i saw, and i have had them for 2 days and they are still full of energy running around.. suggestions??i keep the cage in my room window seal and when i get home i put them on back porch in sun

I adopted a 1/2 Pit Bull, 1/2 Rottweiler puppy, 4 months old and huge, and I am having hell training it with everything. Chewing, jumping on people, housetraining, and walking are all proving to be problems. His parents are well mannered good housepets with no fighting lineage, yet his personality has turned out to be the worst of both breeds. I live in a very rural area, & obediance classes aren't offered here. I've usually had success with past dogs, & can establish my dominance with difficult breeds without resorting to physical harm, but now I've met my match. I've even bought a large steel crate, but I don't want to resort to crate training, and have no idea how to crate train a dog. I sometimes wind up putting him in the crate for an hour when his behaviour is very unacceptable (biting and chewing up items other than his toys). He hates walking and wants to play with other dogs that don't feel the same way while on a leash. Housetraining isn't happening yet. Any ideas?

There is the Humaine Society and FOAP. Anyone know of others. I used to be a legal secretary and paralegal so I could be helpful in an office situation. Also, I don't mind cleaning cages, feeding, walking, etc. The only thing I can't do right now is foster because I have a very small apt. which I share with my son and we have already adopted a sweet, 4 year old male cat who hasn't had enough time to fully establish his territory. Please advise!

My dog attacked my hamster. The hamster was crawling on the coffee table and my dog almost ate the hamster. When we got the hamster out of his mouth, the hamster fell to the ground. I think he sprained his back paw and the dog pierced the hamster. The hamster also looked like he was really bloated, his tummy was full of air, when the dog bite him I could finally see how skinny he was. The little guy is still eating, and I think he is drinking, but he is having really labored breathing. He is about 2 1/2 years old so I know he is old. I was just thinking of putting him to sleep and I didn't think he would make it through the night but he is still alive. I dont want to pick him up, cause I dont want to hurt him, but his breathing slows down when I was holding him in a towel last night. To put him to sleep would cost about $25.00- $30.00 but that would be best for him. What do you think?
