i would like to point out to all who are horrified that someone wants to feed a pet to another pet, that even the feeder mice you suggested are pets to some people. Rats and mice are also pets, and a hamster is little different. However, you could probably find someone who wants them for pets and i would try that first.
NOW as to weather to feed them to a snake aside for any moral/ethical questions. I would be sure that the hamsters are healthy and that the snake is big enough to handle a hamster. Depending on size of the snake, the 6 remaining babies could last several months as feeders. except that they will grow much faster than the snake so you could find yourself the owner of 3 adult hamsters and one still small snake lol
I don't have an issue with feeding any rodent to any predator that would eat rodents in the wild. Just know that they are healthy and proper size for the snake first.

Check with the local ASPCA, humane society, animal rescue group, or shelter first. That is so typical of any pet store. This is why they need to separate they're sexes or take the babies back from the females that got pregnant because of their irresponsibility. As gross as it is, many people do feed hamsters to snakes. I'm in the business of rescuing small animals, but my daughter has a snake so I bought her a pair of mice, but have never bred and it's been over 6 weeks. We also tried to breed with her a rescued male and still nothing. Looks like she has pet mice instead now. So I bought her a pair of rats for breeding to feed the babies to the snake. It should keep my costs down by doing this if we can kill them. However since the snake was raised from the start on rats and mice, I WILL NEVER breed my hamsters for this purpose EVER. Our first rat litter is due in about 10 days, so I'll find out if we have the strength to kill a living creature for the purpose of feeding another. I just don't have the heart. I know it is double sided to say this, but the snake was only fed baby mice and rats at the place we got him from and he needs to eat to.

Do what people suggested, but if this doesn't avail to anything...then I don't see a problem with yet. Yes, it is sad to watch...but what do pet stores say to feed snakes?

mice. Is that cruel? SPCA may take them back; however, if they cant get rid of them, they will put them down. Might as well help the food chain.

NO!!! Don't! That is really sad. What you should do is put them in the news paper that you have free hamsters to give away. Trust me they will go like hot cakes. To a loving family who will take care of them. I'm so sad just thinking about you feeding them to a snake? =(

They are your h amsters,if you want to use them as snake food their is nothing wrong with that.
I would make sure the snake is large enough so the hamsters cannot bite it and harm it while the snake is attempting to get dinner.
There is really no nutritional difference between feeding mice and feeding hamsters to a snake.
I am sure some reptile haters will attack you for asking this, but snakes need to eat too.

No. Thats so cruel. Its like saying your cat had 8 kittens and your keeping one, and the pet store will only take 1 so you are going to feed the rest to a Rotweiler.

NO!That is so mean. Why don,t you try another pet store or maybe advertise them for sale.(make some $$) Giving them to the snake is a bad move, they may need to be checked out (health reasons)and not to mention its so barbaric. Please don,t feed the babies to the mean old snake......lol

If noone else wants them as a pet, I don't see a problem with making them lunch for the snake, if the snake is a pet, it has to eat , so I think it would be fine.

use your brains .do not feed PETS to animals or snakes.they breed rats + mice for that purpose to feed snakes.the hamsters are pets and so are the babies.if you can;t find homes for them all' call the humane society and they will come and get them....or put posters of free hamsters at the vets office.thats even better bring them to a vets office and leave them there .tell them you don;t want them and the;ll get adopted really fast 'and to a good home 'not in a snakes belly......................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
