Rabbits bite when they feel threatened. They also can lightly bite, which is confused with aggressive biting. it's just a light bite that can mean "hey, pet me already!" or "tag, you're it". The best thing to do is shriek loudly immediately. My buny actually went back to bite me a second time immediately after i shrieked and then she bite again, i shrieked again and she got the point. She has never bitten since.

All bunnies bite. The way to keep that from happening is not to agitate them. Some rabbits are just plain mean. I had one like that once. We had to sell it.

You can't prevent it or stop it as it is natural for rabbits to bite. Don't try to stop it. If you can't put up with it, try to find it a good home.
