My loaches have a mild condition of ich,
i got advice to add salt into the tank with heat

i found a package of aquarium salt and on the back it said that for tropical fish remedies and treatment, i should add one rounded tablespoon for each 5 gallons
i have a 20 (as of now),
and while i was adding one tablespoon into the tank
it seemed like enough salt
what do i do?
i dont want to hurt my fish

I have a 10 ga. tank with Molly's, Tetra's and a Plecastumus. I have never placed a snail in this tank, and now I have what I think are baby snails attached to the glass of my tank. Where would they have come from, and how do I get rid of them?

I just bought 3 amazon sword plants today for my 38 gallon tank.
I was wondering if i should take them out of their pots or leave them inside them, because i just saw one of my plants uproot themselves from the pot. But I took the time to take it back down and cover the roots with my gravel.

I was also wondering how long till they recover from their trip and when will they start growng.

are all puffer fish agressive or is it only the dwalf ones are the bigger ones friendlier , can they be kept in a community tank with angelfish guppies and bala sharks

I just started a tropical fish tank (10 gal.) yesterday. I put 2 Platys in there and now the water is cloudy. I went to an aquarium store and the salesman there gave me the right filter, heater, ect. and I also put some gravel and a fish ornament in there and I rinsed all of these before I put them in. Plus I added a tablet to help balance the PH of the water. Yesterday the water was clear and looked fine and today it is getting cloudy. Any suggestions?

like the lil goldfish~can i put them out side in a clean bucket-but surrounded in mudunder a tree? its like a clean black bucket and the mud will probably turn to dirt soon so will it kill them? then it has lava rocks around it so not as muck dirt can get in-if now what kind of fish? maybe i could get one that likes dirt-would betas work? because they do live in mud too. but this is a big bucket and i couldn't get 2 in 1 so i dunno help me please!

Im going to college and i dont want to get a cat or dog because it's a lot of work. Im looking at getting a cool fish. I've heard the oscar fish are like what im looking for but there has got to be more than just that. Do you all have any ideas?

I have a male betta and am considering putting him in a tank with some bala sharks and possibly red tailed black sharks. I know the red tailed sharks are semi-aggressive, but will my betta fight with them if they're of a different species and not competing for breeding rights?

I bought the fish yesterday evening and the guy said it should be enough oxygen for 12 hours. I will be able to get it to my take by like 11 am. Will the air in the bag last til then or should I open it so it can get some air?

In the future i want to buy a 300litre aquarium im planning to put 4 angelfish 7 guppies 2 black mollies and 2 silver mollies 2 dwalf puffer fish (how big do they grow) and 1 male and 1 female betta fish i am think ing of putting 1 shark is this ok will the aquarium be overcrowded and is it a bad mix of fish whats the best shark to buy that are pretty not expansive and are not agressive i will also add 2 corydoras please answer and also do black mollies and silver mollies mate together or not and do black mollie lay eggs

Albino sharks in my aquarium are dying with blood red patches on mouth, and scales slightly separated from the body. After seeing the red patch (I don't know if it is a wound...) sharks stop taking food and hide in shadow. They die there within 2 days with the above said symptoms. I have 5 pairs of 5 inch long beautiful albino sharks left after loosing 3 because of this disease. I separated the diseased ones and tried treatment with Oxy tetracycline, but failed. I don't know, it is a pathogenic or nutritional disorder.....Please help me at the earliest...

I just adopted 2 pufferfish, and the literature on the internet is hard to come by. I just need some general information, such as feeding, is a bit of salt in the water good for them, and how big of a tank i will need as they grow. Also, is it normal for them to jump?

I guess I'm getting a bigger fish tank. Not sure of the size, I think budge wise I can only go as big as like a 36gal. I can upgrade later.

Is it cheaper to buy one of those combo kits with the filter, and everything, or to just buy it seperately? I have plenty of rocks, plants,etc. I guess I would need a bigger filter, probably a bigger heater and of course, the tank and light itself? Whats the price difference from a 30 something gallon, to a 50 gallon?
