stores vary in stock and from time to time they change their stock. The only way to know is to go.
If you want better fish at a better price, go to your local fish store. If it is clean and well run, it will be FAR better than any chain store and about the same price.

First I would not recommend purchasing fish from either of those places. They have a central filtering system and any illness gets transfered to all the tanks. Ick will kill and is the most commonly transfered illness.

Find a mom and pop fish store or a breeder in your area. The internet has made fish purchaning possible with out charging a arm and a leg for shipping.

Check aquabid.com or ebay Small fish can be shipped for 5-7.00 but larger or fragile fish would need to be shipped fedex or next day.

If you are still committed to petco or walmart go to the home pages but remember to qurentine (10 gallon) your fish for about 2-3 weeks before adding them to your main tank.

Good luck

Why would you want a list of poorly cared-for fish anyway. The stores you named are all about selling fish, and they really don't know the proper care methods. The fish are purchased from huge hatcheries that may or may not sell healthy fish in the first place, and in the "big box"store distribution system nothing is done that will improve their health. Look for privately owned pet stores, and when you find one support it. If you only by from the cheapest source you get the poorest value.

It really depend where you live. Try not to get fish from walmart because most of them are unhealthy.

It varies- they get different things in at different times. They typically have the usual goldfish and platys and cichlids, but they may have other things just occassionally.

When you ask a question please put specific info in the main question so that people don't have to open it to find out if they can answer.
