For the moment my second 10 gal. tank is a nursery for my guppies. In a few weeks my guppies will be mature enough to keep in the main tank where all the guppies and other fish are. As soon as i move them back into the original tank i want to get a male Betta, then after a month or a half I want to get a female. i know they'll breed, and though they will eat their children, I'd like to have more than one to save space. If by any chance one of the babies survives and it is a male, will he and the father fight and kill eachother? Or will that baby have to be a damn good hider to be able to mature? And if the baby is female and it survives will she and the mother fight? Also, I dont have real plants in that tank for the bettas, so will they still be ok if they get fed Betta food? One more question: will the Betta be ok and not agressive to a Plecostomus Catfish in that tank with them? http://www.flickr.com/photos/scottkinmartin/377302275/ and do people sell female Bettas at pet stores?

An addiction, more of the hardy type, guppies, platies, bettas, simple fish, I reccently bought a 36 gallon tank and was thinking of getting 3 black mollies 1 male 2 female, Iv read somewhere that they get ich or whitespot easily, Is this true, And are they as hardy and easy to care for as guppies and platies, And do they require Salt in the water?, Thanks

I will say one thing, diagnosis and diseases are not my strong points in any way and I need HELP. This is pretty much an emergency I think. My Yellow tailed arowana who's occupied my 75 gallon tank, established, water chemistry reading 0's across the board started to develope white blotches on his scales about 10 days ago I think. Arowanas will sometime go through a color change as they grow. Last night I noticed one of the scales in that area appeared to be a little red as if cut or bleeding. I got home from work today and found him to have more redness over the majority of that side, his eyes appearing to shrink back in his head. I have mailed MM direct but if anyone has seen this before please I need to know what to treat and how.

I recently moved, so the fish tank became very cloudy, now it is a dark green cloud, seems like alge. Been changing 20% of the water twice a week, not sure if it is working. Is there a faster way to fix this without killing the fish and starting over?

My goldfish is sick. He's in a tank alone, which is big enough, and lies on his side and just floats up & down the tank. We've had to turn the filter off because he keeps getting sucked up. No slime, cuts, or anything of the sort. Help?!

I have a 70 gal. tank and a 23" bubble wall. The package the bubble wall came in says that a 40 gal. pump can operate this. Would that size be sufficient, or do I have to worry about getting a larger pump to overcome water pressure? The tank is about 26" deep. I don't have anything else to hook up to it. I am considering the Tetra whisper 40 or 60. Would there be any problem hooking up the stronger 60 to the bubble wall? Thanks!
