ive heard that if you buy really small angelfish and raise them in a community tank they will usually be fine. even if they are say with...guppies. Is it true? i have a 29 gallon tank, will they still go after teh guppies once they mature and gte to their adult size? or will they be fine if there is enough room? will it change anything if i buy them small and they grow up with teh guppies? are females less aggressive?

I am not sure about taking care of guppies but my kids have decided they would like fish. I purchased a small tank the kids would all like their own fish and we decided on guppies both male and female so they can tell their fish from the others. I realize that they will breed by doing this and need information on guppies. Although I do not plan to breed them on purpose I would like to know if you can leave the fry in the tank with the male and female adults or if this is harmful to the adults. If anyone can suggest a site that would provide information about everything on dealing with guppies I would appreciate it.

My fish has an extremely swollen stomach and he floats to the top of the water. He tries to stay at the bottom but he just floats back up. However, he still has a very healthy appetite. Please help asap.

can you get "bottom cleaners (feeders)" for goldfish? someone told me that lionheads would eat a cory catfish but also im pretty sure they can only be in tropical water right? does anyone else have some sort of bottom feeder in with their goldfish or should i just let it be as they should dig around and eat the old food-not always a good thing i would think.... or just get some stupid snails??

I've got a black ghost knifefish and an elephant nose fish that live together. They fight sometimes, but it's all play. They're calm and gentle enough to eat out of my hand. I want to get a third fish (or snail or shrimp) that can help eat the waste in the tank. Does anyone have any experience with these types of fish? I don't know if they'll attack a catfish, and most likely they'll eat shrimp (they eat small feeder fish), and I hear that even if they don't eat snails, those things reproduce like crazy. Any advice? Help is appreciated :)

They were found in fresh water in the canal out in my backyard. I can't tell if they are Minnows or Guppies. If they are Guppies, do I have only females? I caught bunches and none of them had the colours like the male Guppies in the stores have.

In my backyard there's a canal that runs behind all the houses on my block. There are a lot of different fish in there. Some I'm pretty sure I know the species of, and some I don't. I could use some help identifying the following two fish:

1. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v479/closetpenguin/RandomOther/DSC07135.jpg
2. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v479/closetpenguin/RandomOther/DSC07365.jpg
- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v479/closetpenguin/RandomOther/DSC07369.jpg

I think the smaller ones are still quite young, but if you can give me some good guesses, please do. Even better if you know exactly what they are.

Thank you in advance.
