Dwarf puffers are brackish water fish, they will slowly die in freshwater. As adults they need almost full saltwater conditions. And if they were big enough they would terrorize the oto I think.

Puffers are very aggressive fish, dwarf puffers are not an exception. If they don't kill the danios and rasboras, they will out compete it for food and it will starve. This is why dwarf puffers are reccommended for a species only tank.

In general the puffers aren't so much fish eaters as they are fin nippers and fish aggravaters.The fin nipping can open the door to fin rot and fungus infestations. Hope this helps.-----PeeTee
