I would liek to decorate my 10 gallon swordtail(yes they will be moved to a 20 gallon soon then next year a 55) I kinda want like a beach theme. I have like a little sand castle decoration in there. I am planning on sand for the bottom. I am also gonna put a piece of driftwood in. Anyone have any other ideas to make it beachy? Like are there any plants that look like seaweed(I would really like to add live plants)

After the swordtails are moved this tank will probably have...
3-4 corys
a few african dwarf frogs
1 betta(a female)

Also, for the 20 gallon the swordtails will be moved into, I would like it moderatly planted, any ideas for a theme that plants would do nicely in. I will probably have a mixture for substrate(like florite and sand) and a few corys

I was just recently down by the lake-thing in my backyard, and I noticed some fish that looked very similar to the Red-Tailed Shark. If they were Red-Tailed Sharks wouldn't it be possible to catch them and put them in a tank?

I figured that they wouldn't survive in a normal fish tank, not only because of the limit of space, but because the chemicals from the water that they are in now is probably very different than water in my tank. Some one at my local pet store told me that as long as I move them from the lake-thing to my tank while they were still young, they'd survive, but I think he might be wrong. Does anyone know whether or not those fish would live in a normal fish tank?

Thank you in advance.

Then I have two females. One is a deep orange/red and the other is yellow with a red stipe down her side. Any idea what colors the babies will turn out?

My Goldfish is floating on it's side since last November and won't swim straight, sometimes she just floats on her side.I,ve cleaned the tank and salted it everytime I cleaned it and still no improvement and she won't eat at all.I recently noticed she is breathing rapidly and my other 2 fish are breathing fine. My Male fish keeps bashing the bottom of the tank with his head is there something wrong with him too?My Red Comet Goldfish is Healthy
I received these fish from my Brother which he got from a friend his friend has had them for 5 years before giving them to him then he had them for 3 years and gave them to me They are rather large 5inches to 6 inches long could it be they are old fish? I don't know if there was another owner before his friend he doesn't know.He never asked to find out how old they are. Now I'm stuck with half dead fish.

My molly had some babies (only 6, she has yet to release the rest) and I still have all 6 alive, they are still so little though? They are maybe a week old (7 days) and still look smaller than a tadpole.. I feed them the Baby Shrimp stuff and they really like it, keep them good and warm, but how long until they start growing and get bigger?

I will be getting paradise fish soon, and the internet says that they thrive {like their cousins the fighting fish and gouramis} in dirty, mosquito larvae water. How do I make that? Should I just leave out a bucket of water and wait overnight?? Btw,I live in Australia where all the mosquitos live...

I want to get a beta fish. I might put some other fish with it. Apparently, they can live with other fish, just not other betas?
What kinds of fish can live peacefully with the beta?
Please include any advice you have about keeping beta fish.

I know that they can live in a small fish bowl, but that seems cruel. How big can the tank be without currents being too strong for beta? How many fish can I put in? (I am thinking of getting a 5-7 gallon tank)
