i have 1 adalt female 2 adalt males andabout 28 babys in the tanks the babys rang from 1 month 2 4 mouths old

about 10-12 wks. in a good size well planted tank figure about 1gal. per. in. of fish,live food & partial water changes may help guppies tend to breed back to there wild strain the big pretty ones in the stores are kinda like hybreds u get by breeding only the best of the best the rest are sold as live food for larger fish

Are they royal guppies? the ones with the large colorful fins? If so in the case of males, as soon as the colors are getting well defined and that the fins are getting wider, they will start to be sexually active.

In a way, they are like peacocks, showing off their colors to attract a female.

Once you can tell what gender they are, if the females have a gravid spot and the males have their gonopodium, they are able to breed. Some are late bloomers and some are early so age doesn't have too much to do with it.
