Today i asked what are some kinds of Coldwater Fish and someone said "Paradise fish" so i reseached it and it was true but im wondering can i put it in with my goldfish
On the site it said
"Compatibility: Can not be trusted with guppies, angels, goldfish, and small tetras because they can be aggressive.

Housing: Tolerant of low temperatures and do not require heated water"
So can I?
1 Fantail Goldfish and 1 Paradise fish?

I got my fish tank about 2 weeks ago and for some reason, no matter what i do, my ph won't go down. My tap water that i used to fill the tank with has naturally high ph, and I've tried adding tablets to bring it down. When that didn't work, i bought solution to regulate everything in the water, but it didn't do too much. Nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions?

I just got a new betta yesterday and i heard that its a good idea to use bottled water (room temperature) for the water in the tank.well,i used poland spring water and everything in my tank has litle tiny bubbles on it.the plant, the gravel, and everything else except the fish.i know it isnt the fishthat is causing this because my sister has the same problem.can anyone tell me why this is happening??

I have been advised that angel fish will pick off the tiny hook worms that I had attach to the koi in my pond. I am inquiring whether this is actually the case or simply hear-say. (I did medicate the pond and do not have any worms at the moment). The pond remains warm year round as it is located in the caribbean.

I have a 20 gallon top fin aquarium with 7 community fish in it (zebra danios, etc.). I have had this tank running for around 3 weeks, so it is almost done cycling, and the ammonia has always been low because of my small fish. In an old tank, I had an algae eater that had been happily living with a danio for over a year, and when I moved them into my new tank, the algae eater died within a day. I thought it was just the course of nature, so I decided to get another one, but he died within a day also. I let the tank run for a while but eventually algae began to grow on the decorations, and I thought it was time for another shot (maybe they were dying from lack of food?). An hour after I got this algae eater, I found him dead. I have no clue what is happening to them.
-The water temp. is 78-80 degrees.
-The pH is 6.9-7.1
-The Ammonia is 0
-The Nitrite is 0
-The Nitrate is just above 0

I have my betta fish in a small bowl so I change the water quite frequently (3-4 times per week?) and since the water has to be room temperature before added in, I have put the TAP water in a 500ml bottle and dropped about 3 drops of water conditioner in it. This way whenever I need it, I can just pour it in. Is this okay? I'm not sure if the quality of water changes after been put into a closed capped bottle, and I dunno if I should put the water conditioner before or after I put the water in the bowl (since my betta is in the bowl the when I do 1/2 water changes)...Thx~!
