Today i asked what are some kinds of Coldwater Fish and someone said "Paradise fish" so i reseached it and it was true but im wondering can i put it in with my goldfish
On the site it said
"Compatibility: Can not be trusted with guppies, angels, goldfish, and small tetras because they can be aggressive.

Housing: Tolerant of low temperatures and do not require heated water"
So can I?

First, 72 degrees is perfect for goldfish. Next, the rule is, no, goldfish are not community fish and cannot be kept with any fish other than other goldfish. And you even need to take it one step further because you cannot mix fancies with commons, comets and shubunkins. Fancies are slow swimmers and would never get any food with other faster fish around. Check the link below for compatible fish with goldfish. This is a new question to me. I looked up this fish and its water requirements and they appear to be "compatible" as far as temperature and ph, but I still question their compatibility based on their eating habits. This fish looks like it is a fast fish and, again, it may beat out the fancy out of all the food. Aha! The second link states that these fish are not compatible with slower moving fish. So, there is the answer. Fancies are slow moving fish and would not be compatible with a paradise fish based on this fact, despite its other compatibility matches.

I am the one who answered you previous question. I wouldn't recommend keeping the two species together, because of the more aggressive behavior of the paradise fish.

You had asked for a list of "cold water fish". My intent was just to provide a list of some of the fish options (other than the usual stuff) for a coldwater tank. I would have given a different answer if you had said you were looking for something to keep with goldfish. And, as you've read paradise fish CAN live in water temperatures in the 60s (they can go to the low 60s, but I suggested ~65 - your 72 tank will be fine for them if you choose this species!). The can also survive temperatures into the low 80s, which is why you see mixed in with tropical fish in pet stores.

For those non-believers, look at some info from something other than a chat forum:

OTHER gouramis cannot take temperatures this low, however.

do not imagine so, paradise are aggressive and could beat your goldfish if given the threat flowers are also not person-friendly to examine on because you get a goldfish, they are going to typically eat the flowers... although you should use java fern, those flowers are too a lot for the fish to manage, so as that they go away it by myself. yet another plant will be hornwort, those "weeds" grew so quickly, soaking up the nutrient from the fish's poop speedier than they produce. and goldfish typically go away those by myself good success!

No a paradise fish is pretty aggressive, and gets territorial very it grows up. A goldfish is too slow, and too peaceful.

I don't know what you read, but paradise fish are not coldwater fish, they are gouramis, a tropical fish. 72 degrees is OK for a goldfish, but way too low for a paradise fish.

Nope. Goldfish need cold water and paradise fish need tropical temps. Also, goldfish produce alot of waste so I hope you have a big tank and a good filter!
