Hi given 2 testers above, no instructions though, anybody help please?

As long as you are doing your weekly partial (30-40%) water changes, you do not need to test your water. It will be clean and healthy.

I haven't tested in over a year and there is no need unless you are losing fish for no apparent reason. What you should be testing for is ammonia if your tank is crowded.

However, if you want to test, dip out 5 ml of tank water and add 3 drops of the liquid and shake it up. Always use the cap for the little vial, various substances on your finger will affect the reading. Then compare the color of the water to the chart for that test. That is your reading.
