I need suggestions. I'm planning on opening a store online catering to dog owners with different kinds of dog products. What kind of products do you think would sell best? Or, what kind of products are you looking for but you can't find on most pet stores?

I have a 4 1/2 month old Yorkie. I just noticed earlier this week, that he is missing between 2-4 teeth at the bottom. He kind of reminds me of a child with snaggle teeth. It doesn't seem to have affected him any. He's still the same spunky little terrier he's always been. Is this normal for them to lose so many teeth at once?

ok,so is this a false pregnancy or not?two nights ago she started to leak milk out of 2-3 nipples but no big chance in behavior yesterday she was hanging out and was leaking milk from just about all nipple steadily and pacing around just a bit, she took a liking to her squekey tennis ball and carried it around with her. today she's still leaking quite a bit and now she added her little stuffed beaver (don't ask!) and walking around with that in her mouth and whimping off and on.i was going to take her to the vet first thing this morning to conform one way or another and,one vet is closed due to remodel and the other one said they can't even squick her in for 10 minutes to just look, feel and, listen to her untill NEXT friday, the next closest vet is a few hours away and i can't drive that far.do i just keep an eye on her and let nature take it course or is there something i can do?i can't feel any babies but then again i dont know where to begain.she is 1.5yrs old last heat was 2 mth ago

Im currently a pharmacist but Im not finding my work rewarding or enjoyable. Im 30 and Ive decided that I want to be a vet tech , because I dont want to live my life wishing I ahd become one and regretting it . . I have worked with animals in the past (working at animal shelter in college) and I found this job very rewarding and I actually looked forward to work. Ive decided I want to have a change in career and become a vet tech. What schooling does this require (Ive found a two year course) What hours do you work? How much do you make iff you dont mind sharing ? And what do you like most amount your job?

Will my 3 month old puppy remember her parents when I go take her to see them? Will the parents remember her? What if she doesn't want to come back to me--is that possible? I'm just wondering if they'll bark at each other or if it would be like a little reunion. I think it'd be pretty interesting to see.

I have had her nearly a week. She's had NO indoor 'accidents' and I can let her sleep anywhere she pleases in the house. When she wakes up, she begins to whine and I take her outside potty. She goes right away & I praise her and give her a small treat. Is it even possible she 'gets it' already? She's a long-haired miniature Dachshund. She sleeps the entire night with me and whines if she needs to go at anytime during the night, but has not had to wake me for 2 nights now. She eats and drinks and plays just fine.

I am planning a long, long hike---possibly across the USA. I'd like to get a dog for companionship and who can perhaps pull a backpack---(and maybe me) during 25-30 mile a day hikes. Where do I go to talk with sled dog owners, what do I look for in a dog of this sort, and is there a better breed than a Huskey for this sort of thing?

Anyone from a rescue group, shelter, kennel in the NE Ohio area, can you help?? Ashtabula County Animal Protective League in facing a HUGE crisis. 40+ adoptable dogs are earmarked to be euthanized in a last effort ditch to reduce overcrowding and budget deficits. This shelter is the ONLY shelter in the largest county in Ohio and takes in over 2000 dogs and cats each year. Monies promised by commisioners hasn't appeared and efforts to reduce the crowded conditions in the shelter so far have failed. I have seen some of these animals personally. They are healthy, friendly dogs in deperate need of homes. Please if you can help, contact me directly for further information. All animals can be viewed at www.petfinder.com/shelters/OH71.html Please help if you can.

We got a miniture schnauzer about 2 months ago, she seems like such a sweet dog, but now she always barks and grawls at everyone. And when my baby tries to go to her she jumps and scratches him everytime. Is she a trainable dog? My husband thinks she is dumb. I have been trying to work with her, by teaching her to sit, stay, and to settle down but she just doesnt seem to want to learn. Did I get a bad dog?

OK, so I used to have another user name, I've been around here for a year...I have noticed a "tendency" for some honest and truthful answers to get "thumbs down". Like someone pointing out that an animal is in fact an animal and not a furry 4 legged human. Is it because the poeple here believe their dogs deserve to be treated as an equal or are they just upset someone is reminding them of the facts that don't support their views? I think from my experience here that 80% of users in this section are a little "off" when it comes to understanding animal behavior, needs, instinct and abilities. The "top contributors" and users like "Rachael, Pit Police Captain" seem to be truly intelligent responsible pet owners, so I'm not on a "bashing" mission here.

Please tell me if you feel when the majority of users in this section are rating and reporting based on personal feelings, fact or simply out to remove someone they disagree with.

Our Bull Terrier b*tch was x-rayed yesterday and needed an ultrasound to determine if she was truly pregnant or having a false pregnancy. One puppy was found on the ultrasound. In past experiences we have found b*tches often do not go into labor on their own when having a singleton. What day of her pregnancy do we do the section? Thanks-
