I think you are trying to say MOLTING....which is what birds do. Dog shed. ALL dogs shed. People shed. Allergies are caused by dander, not hair.

Shih tzu, definately your best choice. Very smart, and if groomed properly can look just like an Ewok from Star Wars! They are affectionate, protective, assertive, and smart, easily trained-ours was potty trained in less than one week, seriously! Elvis is the King......

Things to beware of in this breed: inbreeding-causing genetic problems, some temperment issues, undescended testicles, cherry eye, etc. Make sure that you see the pedigree of the puppy you are going to buy, and that there is not direct line breeding back within 2 generations at least.

you're on the right track with a maltese and a shih tzu, poodles are good to, however they do require a lot of grooming because their fur can get knotted. but other than that those dogs would be perfect for what you are looking for.
My dad was allergic to animals when we got our poodle, and his allergies never acted up.

I found a site for you that lists dogs that are usually okay for allergy sufferers such as yourself (all allergy sufferers are different so this list is only a list of dogs that seem to do well with individuals that suffer from animal allergies)

http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/allergy.htm

It gives you the name of the dog and information about that breed so that you can make an informed decision.

I think the only dog that is ok for allergy sufferers is the hairless chinese crested. They are cute but arent fluffy as they have very little hair. or you can bathe a dog to keep the allergy level down. shorter haired dogs are usually easier to keep.

The husky, keeshond, and Norwegian elk hound all look like wolves in a smaller kit. between the Belgian shepherd varieties is all-black and wolfish. you may get spitz dogs in smaller sizes. The Skipperpie has no tail, yet in any different case sounds like a small wolf. maximum probable you observed a mixed breed dogs. A spitz or husky crossed with a smaller dogs could look plenty like a min-wolf. in basic terms thank you to get it particularly is to envision out shelters.

Miniature Schnauzers don't shed and are fairly small. If you want a very small dog, you should get a Yorkie aka Yorkshire Terrier. They grow to be about 6-7 inches and don't shed at all.

Poodles and poodle crosses like labradoodles (Labrador x poodle), cavapoos (cavalier poodle x poodle) and spoodles (cocker spaniel x poodle) are used for allergy-sufferers because they have a "woolly" coat rather than a hairy one.

They are all small, cute dogs with attractive coats.

you're looking for a dachshund...they are loyal, friendly, and most importantly kid friendly. Out of all 5 of my dogs I LOVE my dachshund "Dazy" the most. You can get them in several different sizes, colors, and hair textures. Also they a perfect to snuggle with.

Shiztsu's don't shed because they have hair, not fur. They are really stupid, though and hard to train. Try a teddybear. It's a Shitztsu/Bischon Frise mix. They are very cute, very sweet and great lap dogs. Also, potty training (especially wee pad) will be a cinch, because they are very smart.

A co-worker of mine got one from the breeder above and I trained him passively with just advice. He learned the wee pads in about a week. Smart and SOOO sweet and cute. Go for a teddybear!
