My dog always wants to lick my ears....whats up with that? Does anyone else experience that with their pet(s)?

haha! thats totally fine:) different dogs have different ways to show affection, and believe it or not, thats probably her way to say "i loves you!!!!":)

I have two dogs and the lick each others ears all the time. I asked the vet, and they said it's a pack animal thing, and it's just a part of grooming for them. Hope this helps!

do you clean your ears with Qtips/cotton swabs? if not the dog will wanna get in there and lick at your dirty ears LOL. eww. stick a swab in there and see if you get some. if you do, it means people behind you have been looking at globs or orange stuff in your ears for quite a while. just a thought

No, but I once had a cat who would lick my bestfriends eyelashes. He didn't to it to anyone else either. My bestfriend would sit in the recliner and the cat would sit on top of the chair and lick her eyelashes whenever she leaned back. Weirdest thing I ever saw!

A dog generally bites another dog on the ear to show dominince. Its possible that he is just trying to play with you by playfully trying to bite you on the ear. My dog does it all the time.

yes..one of my 2 dogs and a couple i petsit for like to lick in my ears.

LOL...Yes, our new pup is sooo fascinated with our ears....she loves to lick and nibble! Maybe it's the smell of ear wax :)

my chihuahua goes crazy over ears trying to lick and bite them, but usually only when he is playing. my other 2 dont really have any interest in them.

My beagle does the same thing, but my wifes dog has no ear preference. He will like anywhere.
