I need suggestions. I'm planning on opening a store online catering to dog owners with different kinds of dog products. What kind of products do you think would sell best? Or, what kind of products are you looking for but you can't find on most pet stores?

Quality dog toys that are safe, affordable, and NOT made in China. Holistic treats and chews. Safe, sturdy stuffed toys, preferable stuffed with all natural dried grass or non-toxic fillings. The stuffies that are out now all have Dacron fiber fill in them and that is extremely hazardous if ingested, and can cause intestinal blockage.

We have a lab/Weimeraner mix, so we don't put dog clothes, etc. on her (she's also an indoor dog). She loves peanut butter filled bones, rag bones, and every kind of treat you can imagine--there is a locally owned pet store the size of a grocery store that actually has bins full of all different types of dog biscuits, and even gourmet treats. Get toys that they'll really play with--her favorite toy is a bone shaped like 2 tennis balls with a center piece made of the same material. Make sure you carry Kongs, leashes, etc. Be sure to check out the competition for more ideas--PetSmart, etc. will be sure to have lots of things for dogs that you will need to stock, too. The trick is to find what they've got, get some that are slightly better quality, if you can, and keep your prices competitive.

We've just opened up a model rocket company, and my husband is making and selling parachutes, but he's making sure they're better than the competition's, and at least matching their prices, if not undercutting them. Another good way he's getting a following is he's expecting to have a loss the first few years, so he's sending goody bags to different groups to get his name out. You might try giving packets of small goods to the Humane Society to give out to people adopting dogs. Then they'll be more likely to check you out later.

The only stuff that I buy for my dog on any sort of regular basis are treats and food. High end treats with out all the crap and fillers would be a good idea. Especially ones with no wheat/corn for the allergy dogs.

I saw someone said toys not made in China. A LOT of dog toys come from China. I'd also like to see handmade things like clothes, toys, costumes, leather collars and leashes, and dog back packs. Of course cookies, the "I gotta go Potty" bell, unique things like dogtag silencers and pouches for dogtags. Matching human and canine tee-shirts. And blanket capes for medium to large dogs.

My dog loves her toys! She has stuffed animals she loves to snuggle with and play fetch with. We've tried balls and chew sticks, but nothing makes her happier than her pink leopard spotted teddy bear!

toys my dog like are balloons and stuffed animals with those buttons you can press to make them talk/sing/move..could use spikes you can stick in the ground to attach chains/leash to since many yards are fenceless.

People are total idiots in general, so I'd say "cool" clothes.
