Ellen DeGeneres' gave her dog Iggy to her hair dresser and it was taken back to the shelter due to not following their rules.Do U think it was wrong of the shelter?
Or did the right thing happen?

Here is a what happened:
Iggy, the dog adopted by Ellen DeGeneres from the Los Angeles-based rescue group Mutts & Moms, who was recently removed from Ms. DeGeneres’ hairdresser’s home after the rescue group learned of the re-homing that was conducted without its knowledge or prior approval as specified in its adoption contract.

My puppy is a four month old Shih Tzu. I used Advantage on him on top of flea shampoo every other week. He still have fleas. Some people suggested flea spray to treat the house. What can I use that is safe in case he licks at the treated area?

I tried many flea control systems including Advantage and he still has fleas. I am thinking of trying some garlic as natural repellant. How much per meal can I feed him? One clove seems too much for a small breed puppy. Also I welcome all suggestions for flea control ideas.

As a follow up to my last question (if u read it), Does anyone think it is possible to pass laws restricting breeding to breeders who take the time to properly place the puppies in suitable homes? To prevent people who have abandoned a dog from getting another? To perhaps create a screening process, enforced by city hall, on people who want a pet similar to how we handle human adoption? To educate people somehow on being lifetime owners, not impulse buyers? The government seems to think it is doing enough by telling people to spay/neuter their pets... As usual, they have put a band-aid on a gaping gangrenous wound and called it a day! 30% of ALL dogs, purebreed and mutt, dies in the home where they first came to as pups, a whopping 70% are given away or abandoned, because the stupid owner didn't realize that a dog is a living creature who requires care, not a stuffed animal or thing that can be turned off when it is not convienent for the owner to care for it! How can we make this law?

He is about 15 weeks old now.. i got him when he was 12 weeks

and i crate trained him for 2 weeks straight.. and he was very well potty trained.. in his crate only..

then for like 3 days i was gone, and my other family members let him do whatever he wanted

because now he jsut runs around in the garage.. he eats sleeps POOPS in there.. we have a doggie door leading to the outside, and he's always going in and out of it.. but he doesnt poop outside like he used too, he only goes in the garage!

How should i re-train him to go outside so the garage can stay clean??

I have 2 weeks off this next week to train him...
i can spend all day with him if i need too

i'm just not sure how to make him relize he must GO outside! not inside!

any help is appreciated thanks!

My male terrier (Hambone) has been having stomach problems for 3 days now. He has been playful and active, but when he goes potty his stool is almost all liquid. I did add a supplement to his dog food recently (just the one time), which was a vitamin enriched gravy. I tried it on one serving, and the female dog did not have a reaction (his sister), That is the only thing I have added to his diet that i think could have caused this, but shouldnt it have abated after 3 days if it was the gravy? Usually I feed a mix of canned and dry food, because when I first got them, they would eat their own poop if I fed them just dry food. So with the mix, they stopped that, and I wanted to try the gravy to see if I could just go with dry food and some gravy. Any suggestions? If it was that one serving that made him sick, wouldnt it all be out of his system in 3 days?

This isn't about our dogs exactly but it's a rather topical question. And I'm not entering into the Ellen stuff so don't think that's where I'm going.

Given some of the recent events, how many of you have signed a contract for your current or past dog? It could be an adoption contract, a spay/neuter contract, a co-ownership contract? Or maybe you are on the other side, perhaps you are a breeder. Do you have a contract? What does it entail?

I'm not asking us to debate the recent events of Ellen, but I'm curious, who has signed a contract or who requires one. And if so, what is it? If not, why not?

What do you think of your contract? Do you plan to abide by it or do you think that you've had your dog for 6 years, it's no big deal?

Interesting debate huh?

Talk among yourselves and I'll tell a story in the additional details later since I'm not allowed to answer my own question.... and as you know, this is most certainly not a poll. =)

I've noticed my puppy has tapeworms and rather than take him to the vet to get medication I first wanted to see if anyone knew of any effective homeopathic remedies to get rid of them. If no one has any then to the vet he'll go, but I just wanted to see first.

dont want to get in to a debate. I just want people to say "docked" or "natural". This is also everyones opinion so Please no thumbs down. When looking at a specimen of an English Setter, do you feel they are better cropped and docked or natural? The reason I asked was I just recently saw one natural. I will keep my opinion to myself :)))

I have had my dog for 7 years, she is not a problem, I starting a new job recently, and do not come home until 6.00pm, which means the dog is on her own all day.
I contacted the shar-pei rescue home about this problem, and they have told me that a family that live in the country and have a holiday home in france are prepared to have my dog. what do you think i should do i will really miss the dog. I know she will have a really nice life with this family, but i also think that if i let her go i will regret my decision. PLEASE HELP.
