Actually I've never considered this but I guess this could be a great entrepreneurial venture for grooming salons.

Please don't pierce your dog's ear. It's a bad idea. When children get their ears pierced you can teach them how to take care of it and explain to them why it hurts. You can't explain any of that to your dog.
And, dogs are meant to be active running around and rolling in the grass (or carpet). They could so easily get it caught on something and have it rip a terrible hole in their ear.
Not only that but dogs scratch their ears all the time. It would be almost impossible to keep them from scratching at it. Unless you keep a cone/ e-collar on them until it's healed. If you've ever had to put a cone on your dog you know how miserable it is for them.
Please reconsider. I've thought of the idea before too but realized that it wouldn't be in the best interest of the dog... Just mine. Buy her a cute little collar with her birth stone on it or something instead. She'd thank you if she could! ;)

If you do that to your poor dog, the animal welfare society should be informed.
That is cruel and unusual. Think about all the effort you have to do to maintain a peircing to make sure it doesn't get infected...a dog is incapable of caring for it, or understanding why his/her ear hurts! If they play with it or scratch it, it could get cought and ripped out of your dogs' ear. Don't EVER pierce an animal, its wrong and inhumane.
Shame on you for considering it.

I'm honestly hoping this is a joke question, because that is disgusting and horrible, how could you even think about doing such an inhumane thing? It's horrible when people get a baby's ears pierced as well.
I hope you're joking. If you're serious...don't do it.

This is the most ridiculous question of dressing up a dog I have ever heard.
I should hope NO ONE has.
I also hope that NO ONE will do such a thing. Your vanity shouldn't extend to mutilating your dog to play dress up.

No! And why would you do that to a dog? If you're into that fine, but leave the poor dog out of it!

THAT WOULD BE ADORABLE.... no.
A dog is a living creature, and just because you are bigger and get to decide where he lives, what he eats, etc. doesn't mean that you should take it upon yourself to decorate him.
