He is about 15 weeks old now.. i got him when he was 12 weeks

and i crate trained him for 2 weeks straight.. and he was very well potty trained.. in his crate only..

then for like 3 days i was gone, and my other family members let him do whatever he wanted

when i got back, all the training was forgotten

because now he jsut runs around in the garage.. he eats sleeps POOPS in there.. we have a doggie door leading to the outside, and he's always going in and out of it.. but he doesnt poop outside like he used too, he only goes in the garage!

How should i re-train him to go outside so the garage can stay clean??

I have 2 weeks off this next week to train him...
i can spend all day with him if i need too

i'm just not sure how to make him relize he must GO outside! not inside!

any help is appreciated thanks!

Just start from the beginning. You did a great job when you started as it was working. Too bad the family didn't continue your hard work. Usually two weeks isn't long enough to complete the training process.

for the first two weeks my two puppies pooped in the garage too.
lead him outside after he eats, wakes up,etc.
Take him to the spot you want him to go to.
Watch him and praise him when he goes.
-If he tries to run straight to the garage, carry him/put him in the crate, and take him outside.
-You could also put him on a leash while leading him to the designated area.
You could aslo purchase a potty training solution spray, spray a small amount on the area, let him sniff, and go,praise him when he does. And respray everyday.

good luck!

Whatever you did the first time worked so you will have to begin again. Just do what you did the first time. The calm assertive training will work again.

Best of luck!

Might as well forget all the training you have done..start from the begging and work at it every day...most likely will be easier the second time around.

Lacey's absolutely right. You did a good job the first time. This time make sure your family keeps it up instead of giving the poor puppy mixed signals.

Good luck!
