I have been caring for a stray for about two weeks now and am becoming fairly attached and am wondering how long do I have to wait before I can actually claim this dog as our new pet? I really like her and want to keep her but no one has called yet and I have yet to find anything anywhere that anyone is seeking her.

I chose a german shepherd for their temperment with the family and ability to guard the house. however, my 'pure bred' german shepherd, 'will' bark at someone going by but if that 'same' person comes closer to the house he will jump up and down looking forward to a pat from the same person he was barking at 2 seconds before. he has such a BEAUTIFUL nature but wondering if he will EVER turn into a guard dog! everyone says wait for him to grow up and he is now 1! love his nature with the kids but he would lick a robber to pieces

I have always heard that when a dog tastes blood that they need to be put down. Is this true? I had my dog neutored and I have been trying my best to keep him from licking his sutures. However, my dog acts like he enjoys the taste of his own blood. Is my once wonderful dog going to be a rabid violent blood loving sucking dog now? What should I do?

Every time I try to lose weight I try to lose 1kg in 1 day by skipping lunch. It works but I can't stick to it. I feel embarressed by my school uniform and I always look at my reflection in windows and stuff. It's completely excessive. I weigh 72.5kg and I'm 177cm tall.my thighs are 62cm. I am 14. I always think if it doesn't happen quickly then it won't happen at all, I'm really impatient.

I've struggled all my life and it really sucks. My mum is constantly telling me I'm fat which gives me even lower self esteem. I don't like going out places and even work because I feel really self conscious. What do you think will help?

I have tried baby powder, dawn dish soap, vinegar. They all work for a little while .Then my female Doberman/Mountain Rottweiler is scratching again. Please no harsh answers, I need only those that love their pets & know how to take care of them. Thank you for your assistance in advance.

We have a 6 year old, male, Golden Retriever that have left three times. He is well loved and well fed, but he seems to like taking walks by himself. He seems overly confident and that worries us. Is there any training for this? We are worried he might be lost and not be able to come home. Just this morning, the University security office called us because our dog was loitering around the campus, to everyones delight at least. Thank God he had a dog tag.

I have a 8 1/2 month old Cocker Spaniel puppy, who gets LOTS of attention (I spend all day with her), has chew toys everywhere, yet still wants to chew my underwear. And it's ONLY mine she's chewing. Yes, it's gross. We know that. How do I make it stop? She's enlisted the cat, and they keep digging it out of baskets, drawers, and hampers.

"Your funny bunny" asked this question a while ago (last week) and all of us who answered his question said it was "cherry eyes", another name for reddening of the Hardenian gland.

However, after a more thorough research , I found that there are really some eyeworms in California.

Thelazia californiensis, also known as the eye worm.

Now, has anyone of you seen this in dogs and does it cause them to go blind if untreated?
