My favorite breeds are...
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's. I have 4.
Boxer. Had one for 11 years.
American Bulldog. Had one for 15 years. Best dog i ever had.
Bernese Mountain Dog. Want one.
Labradooble. They are very sweet dogs but wouldn't want to own one.

My Favorite breed of dog is the American Pit Bull Terrier. My girl is the most people friendly, tempermentaly sound dog I have ever owned and is so athletic that she runs me out of steam way before she's ready to quit playing.
I'll be the fiorst to admit that this breed is not for everyone, the majority of people are not ready to handle the inherent dog aggression. But if you want a dog that loves every human they meet, can run/jog with you for 2 hours and still come home ready to play catch, and thinks heaven must be any part of their bodies touching you while they sleep then you might conside an APBT.

I love shelties, too! We just got a lovely little tri show prospect.
Many of the dogs in the herding group are my fave. Shepherds, collies, etc. They all exhibit a similar personality. However, the sheltie, with the gorgeous coat and melting expression, just takes the cake!
