I want to hear people funny dog stories...heres mine!!

My new puppy was sleeping, i was watching her from afar and sudenly she started barking, in her sleep!!! she wasnt awake!! is was sooooo cute. they when she woke herself up from her own barking she was near the steps and was all dizzy from just getting up and she triped on her self and rolled right down the stairs!! i ran to her help but when i looked down at the bottom she was lying down, then instantly she got right up, looked at me and kinda smiling and started panting and then she barked at me! and then she came running back up the stairs and jumped in my lap=)

by the way, it was only 4 stairs and not steep, she didnt get hurt!!

I know chihuahua shake a lot, but is it possible to get them to be more social and not so scared by introducing them to more dogs and people? Or, is it just something you don't have control over?

what do you think about them?? why do they make a difference? If you had $5000 to give to a charity or an animal shelter, what would you use the money for, for the animal shelter? Does an animal shelter deserve $5000? Why would YOU try to help the anumal shelter? what do you think about animals left alone in the world?

I ran into this lady a few months ago and she was going on about how the vets in my town aren't telling the truth about how often and what vaccines dogs/cats should be getting and apparently they won't because they want to make money off vaccinating the animals as much as possible. Does anyone know how often and what vaccines my dogs should be getting? OR if there is a website with that information. I just contacted the Vet Board so I am hoping to find out soon but if anyone on here knows......please let me know. ( I have two min pins - 2 yr old & a 6 yr old)
Thank you in advance for your help!

She is a chihuahua- we put her out, she walks around for a bit and cries to come back in. When we finally let her in, she strolls around. I turn around for a few seconds, litteraly, and she's squatting!!! She does it everywhere, and we can't keep an eye on her all the time. What to do?

We picked the Golden because of its reputation with families with children and its such a beautiful dog. Now I regret that decision. He growls at all strangers and at neighbors and at my own son. I don't know why he is so afraid of certain people. Frustrated over here with my dog. And I'm starting not to like my own dog. I feel bad. Any advice out there???

ok my chihuahua is 5 years old and he weighs about 15 pounds. The vet told me that he should REALLY need to lose weight but she didnt tell me how. I give my dog about 10 minutes of walking every 2 hours, don't give him any of my food ( he cries if i dont give him my food), and plus I play with him a lot. But it really doesn't seem its working out for him. So any ideas?

Okay, I have seen many debates on here about what is good and what is not.
My question is, why do people think that foods with corn, soy and wheat, and BY-PRODUCTS are good brands?
Dogs are allergic to and can't properly digest corn, wheat and soy, and by-products are all the undigestable nasty parts of an animal, not to mention road kill and euthanized animals.
So people that think Ol'roy, Iams, Eukanuba and such are good, what is your reason for thinking so?
And for people that agree with me that those things I mentioned have no place in dog food, help support me here!

He's still pretty young, 9 weeks, but no matter what I do he still jumps up. I tried giving him a treat when he gets off the table, I've tried telling him "Off!" and I've tried spritzing him with water and I've thought about using the leash method when you put them on a leash and pull them down when they're on something...but nothing works! Help!

Before beginning the drive, Mitt Romney put Seamus, the family's hulking Irish setter, in a dog carrier and attached it to the station wagon's roof rack. He'd built a windshield for the carrier, to make the ride more comfortable for the dog.

As the oldest son, Tagg Romney commandeered the way-back of the wagon, keeping his eyes fixed out the rear window, where he glimpsed the first sign of trouble. ''Dad!'' he yelled. ''Gross!'' A brown liquid was dripping down the back window, payback from an Irish setter who'd been riding on the roof in the wind for hours.

As the rest of the boys joined in the howls of disgust, Romney coolly pulled off the highway and into a service station. There, he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car, then hopped back onto the highway. It was a tiny preview of a trait he would grow famous for in business: emotion-free crisis management.
