I think when picking a name for a pet it is best to first to get to know them. Just take a couple of days to understand your dog and then it will be easier to pick a name that fits its personality. Or you can use name from cartoons, movies, food, favorite sport team, just about anything. It's an animal so its okay if it has a crazy name.

Some names I have used in the past are: Rosie, Pepper, Penny, Charcoal, Peanut, Goddard, Andrometer, Woodstock, Winston, Ruby, Ruffian...

If it's a female dog, and it's 7-15 pounds...name it Rosie! I think that name is really cute. If it's a male dog and that size, name it Sam. Large dogs are easier to name. Good luck.

Well, I have a few that I can think of:

Bandit, Sophia, Sydney, Mogley, Parker, Jake, Carmen, Max, Moultry, Quimbly, Sierra, Maggie, Sasha, Regal.

If you need more, go google pet names, and it will give you pet names and their meanings usually.

Go to Yahoo and type in dog names or puppy names. If you have a dog that is Country specific than you can go that route... for instance.. I had a German dog so we looked at German names and found them... good luck!

A few more details would really help! What breed is it? Is it a boy or a girl? What type of markings does it have? That would really help give you a better answer.
