As a vet nurse, i say, go to your vet asap, have blood test could be epileptic seizure or diabetic seizure, this is very important to get it analysed from the start, write down on a note book, time of seizure and how long it lasted, also decribe it as best you can, this will be a seizure diary, so the vet can keep a record to determine how often the seizure reoccur, but do go to the vet asap.

Have the dog examined by a vet. The vet will determine the cause of the seizures and prescribe the proper medication to control this problem.

I had a lab/rottie that had seizures get him to a vet soon. they will put him phenabarb and have you monitor him. there are many diffrent thigs that may cause a seizure such as a massive blow to the head, poisen or some dogs just have it in there geans. they will tell you not to breed your dog and to get get fixed seeing it genitic. It sounds as if it was not grandmal and that is good but still have him checked. our dog was on meds but still died from this in our kitchen and it is very serious it is not something to put on the side burner. good luck

Seizures can be caused by different things such as epilepsy, hypoglycemia(low blood sugar), hydrocephalus(water on the brain), a brain injury, etc. You need to take her to the vet so he can determine the cause of the seizures.

take her to the vet ASAP! seizures are very serious and can be mentally and physically damaging. you want to try and prevent them, not wait for another one.
