Obviously you are not getting the answer you want on here, because you have asked almost the same question about 5 times! I suggest calling an expert that you can trust such as a vet, dog trainer, etc. Maybe you will get the answers you want and quit annoying all of us!

I feed my shelties the same food. It's a really good, natural product. Shelties have problems with skin conditions, like dry, flaky, itchy, etc. Canidae has great oils to add to a healthy coat.
If you are worried he is too concentrated on chewing, than add a little warm water to the dry food. You might also want to get your pup some teething toys made from various materials to strengthen the teeth and gums.
If I were you I would look at various dog sites an the web for information. Try Canidae.com, there is bunches of information on healthy food. My favorite site is dogchannel.com, everything about your dog and ownership is on the site. Good Luck with your new addition, Shelties are wonderful companions.

This is the 7th time, you've asked the same question! STOP PLEASE!!! Canidae All Life Stages, is one of the best foods. The reason they call it All Life Stages is because, it's made for all stages of a dogs life, meaning yes you should keep feeding him Canidae, his whole life, and yes all the necessary nutrients he needs are in it, so he can stay healthy and strong. I wouldn't worry too much about him having trouble chewing it. The kibble is very small. My chihuahuas a very young too, and they have no problem chewing it.

For heaven sake! Your puppy is just fine. If he's eating the food then he's fine. Candiea has small kibble and your pup can chew it. It's good for his teeth to chew.
If you think he's have a bit of a problem then put some water on it and he'll be fine. Don't worry so much!

The pieces might be a little big and crunchy for his tiny puppy teeth. Try putting a little warm chicken broth on the food, that should soften it up enough for him to eat it easily.

And go, right now, today, and find a veterinarian. A good vet will be able to answer all your questions, so you don't have to keep worrying so much.
