Has your dog ever been to your sisters place? if not and u have a little bit of time before u head out, i'd say for u and the dog to take a visit and hang out there for a little while. this way the dog will be a bit familiar with the place. i would think your dog would be fine as long as your sister isn't a complete stranger to him/her. take some of the dogs toys or dog bed, etc when u drop him/her off for the 10days. take some doggie treats if u give your dog any. when i have left my dog in the past, she may not eat for a couple of days. so my dog sitter would give her a few treats or a rawhide just so she gets some sorta food.
if your dog and sister don't know eachother well or at all, then there may be more seperation anxiety.

Be sure to call your vet and tell them in advance that you will be leaving on vacation and will be having someone else looking after your pets for you. Talk to the vets office and give them your sisters name and tell them that if some medical issue arises with one of your pets while your away if they will treat your pet and you will take care of the cost when you return. This will help if something should happen so that your pet will be taken care of if they are injured. I have done pet sitting for animals many years now and many owners don't think of doing this but it is important in case of an emergency. Also make sure your dog has clear identification on his collar in case he gets away or is lost somehow.

Wear an old shirt for a day then (without washing it) include it with his bedding. Also leave the number of your vet! better safe than sorry and even if she doesn't live close enough to take him to YOUR vet (God forbid anything should happen) at least whomever she takes him to will be able to get his medical history

Leave his food, treats, toys, bed, a tshirt with your scent on it to comfort him, your vets number and emergency vet if your vet doesnt have an on call service, a friends number in case she needs help in emergency, a schedule for naps, feeding, walk time, bedtime, make sure your sister never leaves a door or window open.

Take something with her that is familiar from your house a toy she likes or blanket she lays on.Also send something with her that smells like you.I always take my dogs pet taxi with her when she stays with my mom cause she feels safer in there compared to wandering around where shes not familiar.

The usual.
1) visit and be sure he is familiar with your sister and her house
2) take his favorite items, food, toys and something that smells like you
3) his crate if he is crate trained
4) and I call me dogs everyday and talk with them on the phone. And they like that and I feel like it helps them.
