If they allow dogs in the finest French restaurants in Paris, France and Germany why cant people take their dogs into restaurants in the US? Paris is the most cultured city in the world. Are Americans just anti-dog or germophobic or what? Is it fair?

I have a 4 1/2 old puppy who sleeps in a kennel at night. Some nights she won't go in it, but a majority of them she will. She only does it at night and not when we are at work. We have tried everything (changing her eating habits, taking her out more, making the cage smaller ect...) Anyone have any ideas?

I just gave my dog a bath and want to put frontline plus on him. Somone said to wait a few days, but I don't want him to be without protection, as I noticed a flea, or two on him before I gave him a bath. When is the soonest I can put this stuff on him?

They're on Frontline Plus, I've seen no fleas (have put diatomacious earth everywhere, bowl of Dawn dishwashing liquid under nightlight, vacuumed, washed bedding.) I've ordered WormX Plus which treats both tapeworms and three other worms just to be safe.

going on the carpet but he just keeps doing it. Ive caught him many times and punished him for it but he still does it. Iam also positive he knows it is wrong but he still does it. Every time i see him soil he immediately runs under the couch after he finishes becuase he knows hes going to be punished. Hes not a bad dog and he knows im the leader of the house and respects me and all that. What should i do to make him stop the carpet is becoming really dirty all over the house.

I am renting a home for two years but the backyard is very open and I have a Siberian Husky. I don't want to use electronic fencing and the temporary fencing company told me that they need to drill two feet into the ground to put their post. How do I make a nice fenced area for my dog? What are the alternatives? I have also a beautiful view of the ocean that I don't want to block. It was hard to find a house that pleases my kids, and my husband and myself and my dog all at the same time. Please help.

My 5 1/2 month old german shepherd has very nasty sores & gunk towards his lower back & behind! Im pretty sure it's flea larvae & flea feces but what I need to know is what to do next, or what to expect the vet to do for it. I treat him with K9 Advantix once a month & a flea bath once every month but He still seems to get fleas! Help!

My furry son, our dog, is a one dog kinda guy, he is very teritorrial and does not really like to get along with other dogs because of this. He is 1 year old, he is not fixed yet (but will be shortly), he is a Russel Terrier, Chihuahua mix. Once he is fixed, will he be mose docile? I want to get a little female mix from the rescue center but I'm worried about them fighting. Will he always be abrasive towards other dogs even after he is fixed?

She is about the size of a pug now (height wise) but she is only a puppy (2 or 3 months maybe?) so she will grow. I don't think I got it in the photo, but her tail is curly. She had blue eyes when we got her about a month ago but now they have faded to a sort of dark hazel. We think maybe German Shepard and chow. She also has a thick dark stripe down her back like a german shepard.

the negative remarks about pits. How about this..... what is the silliest thing your pit or any dog has done, that made you sit back and say WTF!? Or simply made you laugh your butt off?

Our male Gunner, decided that he wanted a treat. I heard some noise in the kitchen and thought it was Phoenix on the counter again(she thinks she's a cat), anyway, it was Gunner, he pulled down the twizzler bag, brought it to me, sat down the bag, sat handsome and smiled. I guess he wanted his treat. Now if Phoenix learns how to take the lid off the cookie jar i'm in trouble. Our female pit can say I WANNA GO TO, what can yours say?

Hi there, any of you have puppy friendly garbage cans at home? I'm looking for one that has a top that closes, not just one of those flippy tops. And oh yeah, I live in the bay area. thx!

Should we wait until he has recovered from loosing his best buddy by the name of Sarah?
Also she was the most Loving Labrador-cockerspaniel mix. She was loveable, cheerable, shared toy's, her home and her food plate with Petee. They both went for long strolls in the park together. He is really sad and so are we.
What's the best solution? Will he get over it?
Also my room mate who belonged the Lab too, thinks on getting rather a smaller dog. Sarah was a medium sized dog. Which bereed goes along with a Puddel? Thanks for all your honest opnions.
