I just gave my dog a bath and want to put frontline plus on him. Somone said to wait a few days, but I don't want him to be without protection, as I noticed a flea, or two on him before I gave him a bath. When is the soonest I can put this stuff on him?

48 hours before (and after) a bath.

Wait at least 24 hours. Frontline is spread throughout the body by the oil on your dog's skin. Bathing washes away the oil, so you need to give it time to build up again.
It's probably a good idea to call your vet's office to see what they recommend. You could also go right to the source. Call the 1-800 number on your Frontline box and ask Merial.

I use Frontline and my vet told me to wait three days after a bath. The dog needs to get enough oil back in it's coat for the medicine to work. Also said to not give it a bath after you put it on for three days. Let's face it, that stuff is not inexpensive so you don't want to waste it!

http://us.merial.com/

The label used to say wait 2 days before or 2 days after a bath to apply but they changed it. Now you can put it on as soon as the dog is dry. Our Merial sales reps told us this over a year ago. You can ask them yourselves...link is at top.

right after a bath!!

and if he has a flea on him, you need to take him tot he vet, and they should give you some meds, like capstar. also, you need to treat ur yard for fleas, and dont let ur dog in the yard if u have put the teatment out, make sure you read the info on the bottle, it might say how long before ur dog can go outside.

Also vaccum ur house once a day for 5 days.
You do not want ur dog or your house to get a full infestation of fleas, they bite ppl and animals.

You don't have to wait after you give him a bath. Put it on after and it will be fine. Just make sure to wait a while before giving him another bath.

Just make sure the doggie is dried off before so it won't get off some how.

Go for it, once he's dry, but then no baths for at least 5 days.
