She is about the size of a pug now (height wise) but she is only a puppy (2 or 3 months maybe?) so she will grow. I don't think I got it in the photo, but her tail is curly. She had blue eyes when we got her about a month ago but now they have faded to a sort of dark hazel. We think maybe German Shepard and chow. She also has a thick dark stripe down her back like a german shepard.

Most likely a GSD mix of some kind. Chow is very possible. It's hard to tell at that age (and the picture angles weren't the best for guessing breeds either).
The blue eyes were most likely because she was so young. All puppies have blue eyes until they are about 4-8 weeks old when they usually change to some shade of brown (except in breeds that can have blue eyes). And a spot on the tongue doesn't necessarily mean chow...that's just an old wive's tale. I've known some heavily pigmented labs and shepherds that have had black spots on their tongues (one had an almost entirely black tongue).

She looks like a Shepard-Chow mix. She is adorable! The ears, tail and purple spot ar synonymous to Chows, the stripe an the back, her muzzle and the black/brown color in her fur suggests Shepard.

She is adorable. I think your right on the money about the Shepard in her. I'm leaning towards some Husky as you mentioned "blue" eyes. Those fluffy ears that stand up also make me think some Husky for sure. Her face is to narrow to have much Chow, any black on her tongue or inside her mouth? That is a tell-tail sign.
Congrats on your new buddy!

She part chow. Due to the curly tail and the purple spot on the tongue. The ears also tell me chow. I see alot of shepard in her also. But most definatly chow.

She's cute, but I don't think she's a shepherd, her ears are too small and Shepherds are born with their ears down, they don't stand up until after they finish teething. She does look like a chow, and has the face of maybe some kind of lab or retriever? Good luck

GSD/ Border Collie. She might be younger than she is, have you checked with your vet? There could be a third breed in there, if she is on the small side. No matter - she is a beautiful dog!

she looks like a german shepard cross chow and maybe a little collie orsomething but she is a mongrel so there is really no telling for sure.

i have an australian shepherd and your's definitely looks like she
has some in her. I would guess aussie and german shepherd (because of the ears). Possibly even husky.
