Take them all for a good long walk. The digging is usually a sign of pent up energy. They have no other way to burn off their energy if they are pent up in a yard all day. Regular Exercise should help and they will be happier, as per Cesar on the Dog Whisper on the Discovery Channel.

I have a jack russell and a rat terrier. The rat terrier is constantly digging. We've put poop in the holes and also tried coal. That didn't work. He still digs. I have heard that if you (sounds real painful though) cut their nails just a littlle too short, that would stop them from digging. I couldn't do it though. Try walking your dog alot, like 2 or 3 times a day if you can. That should help. Dogs dig for all sorts of reasons.

Go to the areas where the dog digs and sprinkle hot pepper powder there. The dog will either inhale the powder or get it on his paws and then lick his paws. This will deter him or her from ever wanting to dig there again.

Some pet shops also carry sprays that smell really bad to dogs but those can be expensive and I can't testify to them working. They also might be bad for the environment. The peppers won't hurt anything.

You need to get them interactive toys. I have plenty of toy's in a toybox for my dogs. Also they are over bored. Dogs nede sufficient adequatley excercise. Go to a nearby park that has long walks, or a hiking place. Excerising your dog twice a day, will prevent from other negative behavior. Good luck.
