We have just moved into a house to find the previous owners dog poo has not been cleaned frm the back lawn for about 6 months! We need the garden for our young children and so cannot simply dig it up and pave it. Any ideas on how we can get over this problem?

Hello everyone, I have a dog for 5 years now and things financially for me haven't been going too well and my dog is sick. I need help with his medical assistance. Any idea where I can get free medical assistance for him would be great. The problem with my dog is that he has been having continuous Manges for those who are curious. Thanks.

i currently live in a studio apartment and i want a small dog who can keep me company. i like small, fuffy dogs but i want a really gentle and calm one who doesnt need a lot of excercise and would just be content to just lie around and watch tv with me. it's also important for it to not bark alot and is not dirty.

He's had his first shots and wormers, at what age will I get him his seconds? Honestly, I forgot to ask the breeder, silly I know. There was just so much going on.

Within the last 3 hours, his nose has began to run a bit. Should I just make him a vet appointment, or is there a home treatment available?

Thanks for your time.

I have a house dog that I put outside in my fenced in yard to go poop. She goes all over the place and I hate it. I don't clean it up after every time as that is a pain (especially in the winter with major snow amounts where I live). When I do go out to clean up after her it is everywhere. . .so gross. How do you deal with your dogs poop. . .any ideas would be helpful.

We live in a complex of 4 houses. We are the first one and have two dogs. Our neighbours have been complaining of the excessive barking. We however dont think there is much of a problem. The dogs will bark when someone walks past our place. However we have the visitor parking right outside our window, the bins next to our yard, and look right at the letter box. On top of this we live across the road from a school where parents park outside our place to pick their kids up. As we are the first house, our dogs cop alot more of these noises than the other dogs in the other houses (each house has a dog). My husband is home during the day and i am home at night so the dogs are not left alone for too long. i refuse to put barking collars on them cos i think it is cruel - what do you think?

A few days ago I was walking my dog and we encountered another puppy. Since both our dogs were friendly we let them play for about 5 mins. I think my dog's leg got caught up in the other's lease. When we started walking again he was favoring it slightly which has become a bad limp. It's been 4 days since the injury. He still does all his daily activities. Is it just a sprain/pull/?? that will work it's way out much like when we strain our muscles? Or is a vet trip necessary? Is there anything I can do to help? Wrap it?? Anything?!

I have Vizsla who is just about to turn 1 and i have done alot of reading ... Alot of people say that the heart worm meds actually are hurting the dogs and i should only do it during the months that are averaging above 57 degrees for more then 2 weeks...

Also what vaccinations do you recommend on a yearly basis and what on a less frequent basis

I heard somewhere that this breed produces a specific enzyme in their brains that makes them go nuts when provoked. I also heard that this condition is exclusive to the breed.

there are a few bite holes in the ant bait, last week he was throwing up so i'm not sure if this is new or had he been chewing on it last week. Though I am just now finding it. I forgot all about it! Should I wait it out, right now he seems fine...had some funky stool earlier this evening but besides that he is acting normal. Or should i take him to the vet in the morning?

I've been felling really depressed these past few years and my cousin seeing that I've been low, suggested I should get a dog. But I don't know if I want to invest emotional attatchment to something that will last me about ten years. For those of you who have had a pet pass on, was the experience worth it after all the grief? I'm a really grievous person and I wouldnt know how to handle it.
