I had got a dog for my children, he was about 5 months old about 30 lbs and was a sheperd mix. First I had to take him back because he was really sick, then we got him back and soon after he bit my friendds son (3 yr old) when the child was just trying to be affectionate. I took him back because I didnt want to risk it happening again. I had got him from a rescue place that also adopts out of Petmart on weekends. Well a few days later, the same dog was back on the internet with a note saying "Good with children". I couldnt get a refund, they wouldnt give me another dog either. Is this dog rescue operating unethically? What can I do? I understand that the contract was no refunds, but it just makes me mad that they would put the Dog back up for adoption saying "Good with children"

i have a one year old chihuhua. sometimes she beginsbitting my hands and arms. i try to hide my hands or pull away and she become more agitated and bites me even harder, i don't know if she's playing or is she wants to hurt me. she does leave small straches on my arms and it does hurt. even though there are many other people in my house she only does this to me and my sister. she is my dog but she sleeps in our bedroom.

i have been training my Border Collie for going on a week now, and the results have been amazing. I rescued her, 3 months ago, but she was a tad disobedient, and had issues, i appreciate that, and have conquered her fears over the months, and i am now in the process of training her. She has responded, so well, to a firm voice (no hitting, i would never do that)..just, showing who is boss, through the voice. I have her at a word, literally, and i am actually proud of that, she responds to me so well, and we have bonded, i love her to bits, she loves me back. My problem, is my hubby, he is too soft with her, his friend called round tonight, she did her usual go mad act..i sent her to bed,,pointed my finger, told her to stay!..she did!..Whe nthe friend left, i was upstairs, she went nuts, i asked my hubby, why did you not make her do, like i do? he said "i tried" she ignored me!!..Am i wasting my time here?...i have worked so hard with her, i am so angry, feel he is undoing my hard work?

I've had him since he was 5 weeks old. He's a very happy little guy. Could this be a birth defect? I don't care if they stand up or not, it gives him his own little look for them to be floppy. Most people don't think he's full blooded chihuahua, but I know he is. My friend had both the mother and father. None of her other litters have had this problem.

I saw this guy at the dog park with a very cool water bottle. It has a tray that is shaped like the bottle and when stored is flipped up around the bottle. When he needs it he flips the tray down and the dog drinks right from the tray attached to the bottle. it's the best portable water bottle for dogs I've seen, but can't find it in the pet stores.

Does anyone know what it's called and who carries it?

Hes 12 wks old I feed him Chicken Soup for The Puppies Soul- it doesnt have all the fillers like most dog foods, so I really dont think its the food. We give him treats once a night after he poops but he farts all the time, really bad smelling, room clearing farts (I think my bf is jealous haha). He doesnt have runny stool or diarrhea, no blood in it either. I feed him like it says on the packaging- actually a little less because hes not as active since its freezing outside. Is there any way to limit the farting?? Or make it not smell so bad?
