My understanding is that female Poms blow their coat 1-2 times a year. If it doesn't grow back in a few weeks, or if it's a male, take it to the vet and check on nutrition status, etc.

Females do not have the Beautiful coat the male does and she does "Blow " her coat at intervals.Surely after birthing she will and at other times through out the year. Some very well bred Pomeranians never "Blow "their coat even after birth.A True purebred Pomeranian should have a double coat that does stand up at all times. Some coats are just shorter than others.A flat coat is not acceptable for Show.I hope I haven't confused you.Sometimes it takes 1-2 yrs for a Pom to reach their Glory!!!Good Luck!!!!!!
